"The Beginning of the End (From Soulless Point Game)" is the third soundtrack release for the game Soulless Point, in development by Per Triangle Productions, released on August 18, 2023. This EP further intensifies the immersion in the psychological horror of the abandoned asylum, combining sounds that oscillate between the disturbing and the deeply melancholic as the player progresses in their solitary escape—all built within the Godot 4 engine, resonating with the atmospheres of Half-Life 1 and Portal 2, but with a PSX aesthetic.

The EP opens with dark synth-pop tracks, where dense synths and processed vocals create a somber mood, accompanied by horror SFX and electronic timbales reminiscent of distorted ritual beats. As the soundtrack progresses, it enters the realm of ambient and atmospheric music, with wide soundscapes, drones, and textural layers that amplify the feeling of tension and absence of time.

The final track surprises with the introduction of an acoustic composition played on piano and saxophone, with a clearly narrative and emotional vocation. This passage can be categorized as reflective jazz or melancholic jazz, evoking farewell, nostalgia, and the humanity behind the yearning for escape.

This unfolding—from dark and menacing synth-pop, through foreboding sonic ambience, culminating in sensitive sax and piano—functions like a micro-narrative arc in music: from conflict to emotional resolution, from darkness to emotionally charged silence.

"The Beginning of the End" reinforces Ramon Inc.'s talent for creating tracks that not only accompany gameplay but also narrate the player's experience through music.
It's the sound of doors opening onto darkness—until a sax blast announces the end of the nightmare.
