ICONYC are pleased to welcome Deeparture to the label with his brand new 3 track 'Black Box EP’ to warm the hearts. We kick things off with 'Tail Strike’ which features an amalgamation of smooth bass tones, subtle drum programming, a cleverly chopped samples and intricately weaved chord progressions, building to a beautiful breakdown before gradually rebuilding the elements to an unrelenting crescendo of breathy synth licks, chord stabs and an ever-warped bassline.

Next up is the title track ‘Black Box’ which is a stripped back affair utilizing a hypnotizing vocal sample as the basis of the track underpinned by a staccatoed bass that gradually eases its way to the breakdown of breaks percussive elements before unleashing into a rising melodic hook intertwined with the infectious groove that fades in and out for maximum effect. Fantastic stuff!

Last but not least we have the outstanding 'Crosswind'; that starts to delve into deeper territory, which sees lush pads fused with chord hits underpinned by Deeparture's trademark bass patterns, before all manner of varied melodies weave in and out of the stereo field to close out this wonderful 3 track release in style. Deeparture’s ‘Black Box EP’ highlights his continuing maturity and variety in his productions.

Solanca returns to Songspire with two originals after the remixes he did for Arturia and Katl June and the Annunciation Vol.2 Mix he recently mixed. In that mix he already gave a sneak peek of ‘Black Forest’, a dark progressive track with a haunting vocal, horn kinda sounds and big rolling beats. On the flip side we have ‘Cadere’. This production is built on solid kick drums and a deep bass which gives it a cool underground vibe peppered with floor-thrilling rhythms. Solanca never disappoints.
