Kurt Baggaley, also known under the alias as Scape One is an Electronic music producer from England. Having started music production as far back as the 80's it wasn't until the 90's with the advent of the new generation of contemporary electro and techno producers that Kurt began to release for various labels and as guest productions with Transparent Sound.

Preferring not to be tied to an genre and drawing influence from the Berlin School, Cold Wave, early 80's Electro, Italo, Deep House, IDM and injecting everything into the melting pot.

With notable releases over the years on World Electric, Elektrix, Satamile, Emoticon, SCSI-AV, Southern Outpost, Drivecom, Cultivated Electronics, Brokntoys, CPU and Believe In. Since 2011 Kurt has used his real name to produce a more personalized and unique sound with the notable releases on SoHaSo, A Must Have and Chapter 24.

Kurt still produces Electro as Scape One and uses the name Tau Sagittarii for his Ambient synth music.

a. My name is Ian Baxter and I produce music as DJ Birdbath and am currently based in the sunny top of New Zealand's south island.

q. is there a story behind the mix?
Not as such, I just tried to go with my first impulse for the song choice.

q. what's the best way to enjoy your mix?
I reckon it's best enjoyed in a comfy place with some headphones maybe on a bus or train.

q. describe a favorite object in your living room...
Definitely the pile of comfy pillows a friend made covers for from an old wall hanging. I've been making lots of music and this mix whilst nestled amongst them.

q. are you working on any projects right now (music or not music)?
I'm always working on bits of music and samples and am very excited for my EP to come out on APPX: ( @appendixfiles ) on the 24th of March.

The marine forms abound in the sea depths, in marshes which are flooded at high tide, in shallow inlets and the muddy bottoms underlying the sandy surface of the seashore. The fresh water forms are plentiful on the mossy stones of mountain streamlets, pools bordering rivulets, dripping rocks.

In these difficult times, we have to listen music that elevates and heals us. Thats why I'm sharing this meditational and very calming sound journey that I recorded for a meditation application a year ago. As its copyright period is over, I can finally share this with you to help you in these tough times that people stays at home and looking for a source to spread positive vibes. This sound journey was produced by me with a good friend from Tulum who played all of the instruments. He doesn't want to be exposed so I'm keeping his name secret with respect to his choice. It was a pleasure and a great experience for me to produce this project. I'm glad that I accept this project to create this beautiful sound journey that I listened many times on my meditations and whenever I feel to slow down.
I hope this journey will elevate you and heal you in these times to get back to your positive state. I wish that the world will get through from this process and learn from the outcomes of these isolation times which we have to learn the mistakes and the the pollution that we created into the whole world. May you be in peace and live in prosperity with your loved ones.

We created this sound journey with the intention to invite the listener to tune in and reconnect with mother earth and listen to her loving guidance for those times of great transitions and awakening of humanity.

In the shimmering sunlight the city was a transparent lake, but as the sun crept down the city dissolved into a veiling grey horizon. I remember the faint remoteness as I stared out to my hometown of Los Angeles. I had recently moved back home and had expected for the rush of nostalgia to bloom into a previous self. However, there was instead a stillness that seemed to be waiting for something. The rolling hills before me arched up and down but only seemed to descend. The moments that followed dilated around me and I took solace in knowing that I was truly happy again.

This progression of music tries to embody the slowed and slurred first moments of my days rediscovering Los Angeles and the unintentional ebb and sway of finding myself again. A gradually looping state of lethargy breaks out into its own speed and dance.
