The base of this nice song is from Ron Jongepier, he did also the guitars and bass. The vocals and lyrics are from Henk Vriesema and Jaap de Ridder did the keyboards. It was a long time ago (41 years ) that Henk and Jaap played together.

For Luc and Wendelien: A Bench in the Fields  

Life can be cruel in its timing. It took Luc and Wendelien far too soon—two souls who brought so much color, warmth, and life to those around them. For those who knew them, a void remains, yet so does an abundance of cherished memories.  

They were dearly loved, and for good reason. Their interests were wide, their hearts open. They savored life in a way that drew others in: from meaningful conversations that could last for hours, pleasantly accompanied by a good drink, to simply being together with their wide circle of friends. Whether enjoying a night out for dinner, planning a new vacation, or relishing each other’s company—for Luc and Wendelien, what mattered was true connection, sharing joy and stories.  

Their love for life and their surroundings was profound. That’s why it’s so fitting that, even after their passing, they left behind a place of peace and gathering: the bench. It now stands in lovely Wenum Wiesel, overlooking a quiet pasture, nestled in the nature they so cherished. It’s more than just a place to sit; it’s a quiet witness to their presence—a spot to pause, remember, and perhaps share a conversation as they so deeply valued.  

And as if the universe wanted to honor how special this place and these people were, their legacy found a voice. Jaap de Ridder and Ron Jongepier wrote ‘The Bench’, a song that touches the soul. Its melody and lyrics capture the wistfulness, but above all, the love and enduring connection flowing from that simple bench amid the greenery. It’s a musical tribute perfectly reflecting the joie de vivre that defined Luc and Wendelien.

For Luc and Wendelien: your laughter, your conversations, your friendship, and your love for life’s beautiful moments—they still echo. Last Saturday, the ACEC building in Apeldoorn transformed into a pulsating universe of sound, light, and energy. During De Opening, Deep Circuit Electro Miners delivered a concert that shook the walls and lit up hearts. The audience was swept away on a sonic journey through glitchy rhythms, hypnotic visuals, and an atmosphere that hovered somewhere between rave and ritual.

To close this unforgettable evening, the group unveiled their latest creation: The Glob. A track that feels like a cosmic entity slowly coming to life—growing, pulsing, transforming. It’s the perfect fusion of their experimental roots and their love for the unexpected.

With members from London, Amsterdam, and Apeldoorn, Deep Circuit Electro Miners is more than a band—it’s a collective that creates music for the sheer joy of it, yet with a depth that lingers.
