Following on from the irrepressible space-sci-fi-bass fuelled Sedona EP that dropped in the summer, DDD bossmen Truth are taking that theme to another dimension with Portals - an EP so futuristic, trippy and technically accomplished it makes Rick and Morty seem like Winnie the Pooh, with more bass pressure than Eeyore could possibly stand. 

Don’t be fooled by the mad scientist aesthetic, though, as beyond the tracks’ otherworldly compositions, eccentric idiosyncrasies and meticulously detailed sound design - these tunes will slap you senseless in the dance - delivering sub frequencies so dense, their gravitational pull was registered with NASA pre-release.

From lead single and opening track future-dubstep stomper Alien Bass, to the magnificently ethereal yet savage collaboration with Dub Princess, ‘Drift’ - this EP demonstrates a duo at the peak of their powers and in complete control of their craft - with a constant thread of musicality shining through the tracks’ ongoing complexities.

This is a death dirge for my brother, Matty.
A piece born from grief, from the cold silence he left behind.
He was with me for 36 years, more than a friend, more than family,
and losing him feels like watching a world collapse in slow motion.

This track is the place where I lay down the parts of him that still haunt my thoughts:
the memories, the jokes, the moments that now feel like echoes from another lifetime.
It’s a ritual of letting go and holding on at the same time…
a final march for a man who lived fierce, loyal, and unfiltered.
