Live at Sound Haven 2023

‘Kwizma” is the alias and brainchild of Netherlands-based Christian Engelen. 

His rumbling bass and cutting edge sound design have captivated the creative minds of people from every corner of the globe. He has worked alongside widely acclaimed world-touring DJ’s such as Truth, N-Type, and Nomine (to name a few), as well as provided music for Indy video game developers, content creators, and dancers. 

He now has releases on renowned imprints such as Deep, Dark & Dangerous,  UK’s iconic ’FatKidOnFire,’ and Texas’ home grown ‘Silent Motion Records.’ With interviews and coverage from LA’s ‘Bassrush’ and San Diego-based clothing label ‘Dataset’, it’s no wonder he’s peaked the interest of so many. His next release will be on his very own record label ‘Kuro Records’, with which he holds the title of Founder together with two other legends in the scene, Leon Switch and Kelly Dean. Both of which have joined him in creating a powerful trio known as NōTaN.

My set from Shambhala 2023 at the Grove. Was an honor to not only play, but to bring my dad to Shambhala for his first time ever. I prepared a special set for him, because he is one of my biggest inspirations. I know I am lucky, very lucky. Thanks for being what a dad and a roll model should be, if I grow up to be half the man you are I am doing well. Love you.

Shambhala 2023 - The Grove

This August I got to venture off from my home bass on Vancouver Island to the other coast of Canada to New Brunswick for Future Forest Festival.
I had the opportunity to play 11:30 - 1:00 AM Sunday on the Mushroom stage and the curation of this night was on point right until stage close. I spent a ton of hours curating the journey for this one and poured a lot of myself into it. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!💙🍄✨🔊🌲
