With the release of her "Inner Loops" EP this Friday on DDD, we thought it was high time for another Canvas DDD Guest Mix!

Forging her own path as a first generation American of Zimbabwe heritage, Rita Mucavele, more widely recognized under her stage name of CANVAS, encompasses music in her very DNA. Currently residing in Atlanta, Georgia, CANVAS still honors her core roots of rhythm and rhyme, applying her culture to significant aspects of modern-day bass music and using her sound as a vehicle for powerful change.

Using music as a constant outlet, even her artist moniker holds weight to it, intentionally demonstrating the influential nature of the artist-fan relationship. In silence, time can be seen as a blank slate, but, when interpreted by the listener, the moment becomes something new entirely; a canvas rife with radical self-expression and meaning. No two moments, songs, or performances are the same, all painted uniquely by the individuals within the specific experience."

Inner Loops: The EP title alludes to the cyclical nature of human thought patterns and emotions. Our lives are cataloged by continual themes of self-discovery & acceptance, the dance of light & darkness, time, untapped potential, and angst.

Mucky Update is a Costa Rican duo who solely focus on music production. Their artist name perfectly defines their main intentions within their music. Updating the dubstep scene with mucky melting basslines and drumkits, storytelling of current technological developments which are constantly changing society into an Orwellian nightmare including sci-fi phenomena.

Their release's with Deep Medi ft Logan and Deep Dark and Dangerous in collaboration with the Don, Youngsta, was a true strong statement from Mucky Update to honor and enrich the dubstep culture all the way from classic dub to futuristic sound design.

I love my path in life now I got old and went into FPV DRONES while listening to techno makes me soooo HIGH!! I'LL NEVER GROW UP!  Glow POI to fire POI to a crowd pleaser.  I stand out no matter what city I go to. I feel I'm the only one that listens to this incredible music.  I need unity again at a rave party. I need people around me that listen to this MUSIC. but until then I'm full of life and love EVERYONE!
