4D friend Ohyra sent us this massive tune by Channel Islands native Gastly, and after hearing it I knew we had to nab it. An intro filled with dialogue, a sparse beat, and sprinkles of Japanese flavor, the the 55 second mark yields wonderful rolling percussions, a muffled growl, and pressing sub. While all this goes on, an audible duel tastefully plays out in the background. Any Tekken fans should jump at this tune- I know I did.

Gastly - Yoshimitsu [4D Exclusive Download]

UK native 8oz steps up for his first 4D exclusive, in the form of 'War Cry'. This minimal roller starts with creeping hats, and various FX and dark ambiances. This formula sets the stage for the filtered growls and dominating sub that follow. The tune takes full force at the 1.22 mark, kicking off with breaking glass, followed by presumably breaking subs. As this progresses, we hear more variance in the growls and effects used. Over-all this is a solid tune to kick off your Sunday- 8oz does a great job of balancing the space in this one, not something every tune can boast.

Leeds-based producer A-Grade steps up for his first 4D exclusive, 'Sneak'. A minimal intro starts the tune, playing off a synth and some dry percs. Things pick up half way through the intro, featuring more perc noises and a few sparse FX. Come the drop, things come full force in this reserved- yet groovy- tune. As the track goes on, looming midranges and FXs glide throughout the headspace. Shouts to A-Grade on the buttons, and Texstep on the mastering!

A-Grade - Sneak [4D Exclusive Download]

A man who needs no introduction, Arkwright has stepped up for another release on 4D, this time in the form of the playful- yet driving- 'Unify'. The track starts with a jittering synth, which is eventually joined by a beat and haunting pad. These elements play on, creating a tense and suspenseful build up- to be, as always, release by the drop. The jittering synths leave the track, to be replaced by a grooving sub. Eventually the synths come back, and all these elements interact together in a way only Arkwright could make them. (Word to the wise- don't miss that emotional- almost 80's-esque 2nd drop.)
