Deepdowndirty is immensely proud to release the first single 'I Do It To Myself' from the upcoming #NeonLines album project with the hugely talented singer-songwriter Sophie Barker who has collaborated with artists as diverse as #DavidGuetta, #Zero7, #GrooveArmada, #TheEgg and #RobinGuthrie (#CocteauTwins). 

'I Do It To Myself' brings two established producers to the table to create this re-interpretation, Paul Sawyer & Simon Sinfield, who are no strangers to fusing genres to appeal to the wider audience. Recently remixing #Lostly's #Forever for #Solarstone's #PureTrance label and also the 90's classic #AndThenTheRainFalls by #BlueAmazon, both vocal-focused tracks which have sat in the Beatport chart for a number of weeks.

Sophie Barker's vocals sit effortlessly over this dynamic, deep journey through progressive-inspired melodies underpinned by a driving percussive foundation.

Some of the working relationships DeepDownDirty has with its producers pre-date the label and go back to a time when owner, Maya, used to have a radio show called DeepDownDance.
London house music producer Jason B fits into this category.
He has also released music on Karmic Power Records, Housebugs Records and Tone Artistry.
Jason's often soulful, vocal house music tracks are wonderfully adaptable and perfect for creating chilled daytime summer vibes or cool night-time grooves alike.
Previously featuring as a remixer on DeepDownDirty's releases upon a number of occasions, contributing to 'Lost Goddess' by Alastorworld and 'Be Happy' by Groundstate ft Lorraine Gray, Falling To You is Jason B's second release on DeepDownDirty and is all about those feel-good summer vibes.

Ubertalented singer-songwriter, Sophie Barker - singer with Zero 7 and The Egg, amongst others, and a solo artist in her own right - has teamed up with DeepDownDirty's team of creative producers to release an inspirational dance-music album of remixes of tracks from her 2017 album 'Break the Habit' (originally released on Disco Gecko Recordings), all featuring Sophie's warm, rich vocals.
From the progressive melodies of Paul Sawyer's and Simon Sinfield's remix of 'I Do It To Myself'; the melancholic vibe of Cruster's rework of '3 Things'; the yearning synths of Black Chapel's re-do of 'Start Me'; and the catchy melody of Ali Bakhtiar's remix of 'Don't Give It Away', this is a captivating and impassioned collection of remixes.

BL.CK's edit of 'Break The Habit' is a dance-floor-pleasing masterpiece with reverberating synths serving as the perfect background to Sophie's heartfelt vocal whilst Lee Ogdon gives Sophie's 'Road 66' an ombré treatment with a devastating synth riff, showcasing her vocals beautifully throughout his musical play of dark and light. In 'Breathe Me', Doppelstern overlays swaying rhythmic textures and darker synth riffs with a luscious violin melody and delicate top notes and in 'Start Again', Demah's wonderful use of Sophie's voice set against a rhythmic deep-tech soundscape and an inspired use of a saxophone motif perfectly complements the achingly beautiful lyrics.

Audiofetish achieves the seemingly impossible with his remix of Sophie's cover of Fleetwood Mac's 'Gold Dust Woman' and creates something fresh and new with this familiar-to-some track, conveying heartbreak adeptly through his unique musical interpretation The strength, power and depth of Sophie's song-writing and vocal talent shines through in Neon Lines creating, with the help of DeepDownDirty's international team of accomplished producers, an alluringly thoughtful and empowering album remix album.
