At 33, throughout his musical journey, he has transitioned from a classically trained pianist, touring the philharmonic societies of his homeland, to a mastermind behind electronic soundscapes. Initially immersed in jazz and classical music, Digital Mess dedicated seven years to formal study. Despite gaining recognition as a young pianist, the magnetic pull of electronic music redefined his artistic trajectory, setting the stage for a pivotal shift.

Over the past 19 years, Digital Mess has found his niche in progressive house and techno. As a DJ and producer, he crafts tracks that reflect not just technical prowess but a profound personal connection to his art, stating “I can only say that music is part of my personality. Without this I am not me”

Phil was a big name in the South west DJ scene in the early to mid 90's playing at the legendary Scream nightclub in Plymouth alongside some of the biggest names in the business.
