Tomas Estaben, more widely known as Tato, is flourishing as one of Spain's fastest rising star DJs. 2012 sees him continue his highly acclaimed residency at one of the world's leading clubs, DC10 Ibiza, where he has been playing regularly at Circoloco for several years and his label, Isgud Records, which he runs alongside Tania Vulcano, has rapidly become a bible for pure house music aficionados across the underground scene.

He is affluent in the local underground scene in Portland, and even has a remix by @prinsthomas! The Deep End 014 - Etbonz

This month we have a mix full of sexy house and disco tracks all the way from Detroit. @Pontchartrain never ceases to disappoint, he manages Whiskey Disco, which has some of the grooviest cuts out there, and has recently been signed to Soul Clap Records. He knows disco inside and out and is a true master at his art, he recorded this mix on 2 turntables, 2 CDJS and a Rane MP2016 rotary mixer. ENJOY!

This month we are bringing you NAPOLEON, bringing you some of the best disco all the way from Costa Rica. He is a purveyor of grooves and digs deep to find some of the best and rarest disco edits. He specializes in vintage-sampled disco and the infectious boogie heat. Enjoy!

This month we have a special guest and long time Deep End friend Jimbo James, purveyor of @musicis4lovers, going off the deep end.
Here's a few words from the man himself about this journey:
This live mix is from my monthly "Sunday is 4 Lovers" event at Firehouse in Pacific Beach playing alongside Oliver Koletzki. We start up at 2pm -- the scene is an open-air rooftop at the beach with people rounding off their weekend with brunch, drinks, and good house music. Being at the beach under the the stars next to the lit fireplace is what inspired me and helped me with the track selection closing out after Oliver. I think the mix is a well-rounded variety of groovy tunes perfect for a peak time set while people party and take up their space on the tight dance floor. This mix reflects me as an artist because I usually open or close my own events to keep the sexy vibes rolling after the headliner smashes it.

This month we are featuring local acid & breaks head @austinspeed . He's a resident for broken beat & acid varsity but is most notably known for his live sets. 
Here's a few words from Austin:
"This mix is a bit of a departure from what I’ve been playing out and it’s really a compilation of music that I’ve been listening to lately.  The feel is slow, deep, driving and dark.  There are elements of synthwave, techno, new wave, house and I’d even dare to say a slightly industrial vibe.  This collection of music seems to hit on all points of my inspirations for getting into music production and I’m very glad to share it!"

DINK! goes off the deep end this month🏊 He's been a local staple in San Diego known for the more offbeat tripped out sound. Heres a few words from him:
"For this mix I wanted to showcase the leftfield styles of music that really influence my taste, and combine them in a way that flows and makes sense. This mix has a very underground sound and ranges from minimal breakbeats to sexy, deep, sample-filled groovers."

This mix was recorded in our studio in Revolucion Avenue in Downtown Tijuana, it features our main Chicago and Detroit house influences like Gerald Mitchell, Paul Johnson, Blue Boy, K Hand, K Alexi, Rick Wade, and our unreleased tune “Drum Fantasy” forthcoming next year. Enjoy!

SOUL OF HEX... OFF THE DEEP END VOL 25.

This month we have a curator from LA, the purveyor of the @6amgroup , JIA. He has been bringing top notch techno talent to LA for the past few years, debuting artists from all over the world to the California warehouse scene successfully expanding its sonic landscape. 
Heres a few words from him: 
This mix is inspired by the many opening sets I would play here at the LA warehouse parties where I have the opportunity to marinate the room from ambient/spacey sounds while building up and layering sounds into a moodier vibe through the set leading into some mild excitement. My train of thought for opening is always wanting to leave the audience with an anticipated energy to welcome the headliner of the night. I take great pride in opening up proper. Much like BBQ culture in Guam, you gotta marinate the meat (in our case the dancefloor) before putting them in the grill for some proper fiesta action

Sprout is the founder of @theafternoonumbrellafriends in San Diego. A collective of young djs stirring the pot in san diego and growing the scene. 
Here are a few words from him: 
Wanna start off with a shout out to the Deep End - I got started in the scene attending their events so it means a lot to me to be featured on this series! I've got a lot of styles in my repertoire but this time I went for that deep minimal tech house sound I've been feeling lately, with a little bit of deep house and some gangster vibes sprinkled in. I wanted to make something easy to listen to but could still get you grooving and hyped up for Umbrella Weekend festival. If you haven't heard about it, it's the campout that my crew, The Afternoon Umbrella Friends, is putting on up in the Mojave desert, coming up from March 13-15th. We've got a ton of our Deep End fam on the lineup including Eric Medina, JNav, Andrew Wilkinson, and more, along with representation all across the SD underground scene so I hope to see all of you out there. Hello Friends!
Thank you so much for having me on the Deep End! I hope you enjoy my freshest mix, THE DEEP STATE. My sets are never planned. Except for the bookends (the "death" of HAL 9000 in 2001: Space Odyssey), this was a fun, freeform set, as my profession in the late late night crowds allows me to. :) I like to paint a narrative arc in my sets, cinematic and saturated with color. I thought of San Diego when making this set; mixing sounds reminiscent of music I was raised on here, a buoyant blend of laser synth, house, Italo, nu-disco and even goth industrial.
