The recent return to Blond:ish’s Abracadabra label with his “Muted Memories” EP in 2020, is another milestone on West & Hilll’s impressive footpring this year. With releases on labels like Connected, JEUDI and Stripped Down Recordings as well as with performances at festivals like Time Warp, DGTL, STRAF_WERK and many, The dutch newcomer is definitely not considered a stranger to the scene anymore.

Soulful rhythms combined with a rather low bpm are a very typical trademark of his vibe. His tracks already gained the attention by the likes of Black Coffee, Adana Twins, Adam Port, Pablo Fierro and many more.

His remix of Rodriguez Jr. ‘Haussmann’ established him further as a versatile multitalented artist. He approaches music with a full heart and intent focus, whether DJ sets, or the live streams he has been delivering through lockdown (ABRACADABRA, Beatport for Beirut, Patterns On Air), while time in his studio has resulted in two new EPs in Autumn 2020 (Mobilee and Do Not Sit…) and the launch of his own label, Anims (December 2020).

Little did Alex know when he started compiling music for his friends in his teenage years, that only a few years later, while beginning to explore vinyl and digital ways of mixing, his real journey in music began. About two decades later, Alex is still on his path, constantly shaping his signature sound. For him it’s about simplicity, the smiles, the looks, the moments everybody shares. His aspiration is to connect people — with one another and with the music. Producing, playing and mixing is his way of expressing what is beyond words.

Welcome to The 7th episode of "Tel Aviv Sunsets" Podcast.
This time we bring you an exclusive  guest mix by @flucamin from the Netherlands.

Flucamin Started DJ-ing in the pre digital age of electronic dance music, played at several clubs, events and had a residency at a club In Delft NL. I played with a variety of DJ’s who have changed the dance scene over the years to come. In the era where underground became mainstream and vinyl became CD's the love of the music left me. My musical preference was nearly unavailable due to the vast quantity of ordinary mainstream music and therefore turned my back to the dance scene.

Exploring other sounds of music and loving them, As long as the artist put in their heart and soul. That's emotion you can't ignore in music. Despite the other emotions their was always a void in my heart but never knew why. Until a friend re-introduced me to the new and evolved dance scene. Never expected to get in touch with the magic again I was blown away. At that moment for the first time in many years the void in my nheart was filled and I knew I can never turn my back to the scene again. Enjoying the musical emotions young new artist nowadays create, finally the musical preference that was unavailable 2 decades ago. was here. So it wasn’t long before I jumped back in the scene, picked up my DJ skills and embraced this new digital era full of opportunities with renewed love for the music, the artists and the entire scene. Now incorporating my knowledge of the past and the limitations of vinyl into the enormous possibilities, freedom and emotions that are spread throughout the scene today.
