The Force returns to Ruffneck Ting for the imprints first release of 2021, once again demonstrating his stunning production and versatile style. 

Hailing from the Midlands, The Force is a producer who has contributed to the evolution of jungle and drum and bass for nearly two decades with heavyweight releases on labels such as Urban Takeover, Lowdown Deep, Calypso and Serial killers (to name but a few) 

Since his first outing on Ruffneck Ting in 2014 he’s helped shape the Birmingham-Bristol roller vibe, alongside label regulars Jinx, K Jah and Vytol, that is now synonymous with the label’s sound. 

His influence on Ruffneck Ting’s journey, continues with “Second Sight Ep” and this time he introduces two new team mates to the label who are making big waves in the scene, Jeopardize and Psych.

The ep kicks off with Psych as co-pilot and the full fat whompy goodness of “Trouble” setting the upbeat flavorsome tone of the ep. The Force then switches it up to classic jungle vibes with “Stop The Show” where a reggae intro filters into big rolling basses and beautifully crafted breaks and percussion.  The title track “Second Sight” rolls out stepper-style with big fat 808s and cheeky amen fills. “Made In England” is up next and has a bitter-sweet tone where wistful pads, lead to a another mighty bassline and reminds us, at least, we have the music. “World Of Dead” rolls out with massive snares and wobbly bass and leads to the grand finale, “Fight Night”. With Jeopardize on the collab this delightfully obnoxious dancefloor smasher drops with a poignant sample that will ring true for so many of us…..” it’s been a hard fight!” …

Founding members DJ Slick & Willy Gyalis teamed up with Manchester’s Visuals in order to leave an indelible impression on the Drum & Bass landscape with their unmistakable sound. On this 3rd outing on the New York based Liondub label, Dungeon Kru present “Family” a brilliant full length LP featuring 9 collaborations with artists from around the globe. DK is joined by upcoming producers like Dunk [Brazil], Yatuza (Columbia), T-Kay (Italy], Maurizzle [Germany], Falco [Nederlands], as well as legendary Full Cycle staple SUV [UK] and label boss Liondub himself [New York]. Dungeon Kru continue to set a very high standard for dark and hard-hitting production unlike any other, and these heavyweight collabs raise the bar once again.
