Our good friends Artslaves, aka Alessandro Rondinone and Domenico Gei, are a Neapolitan production duo and the owners of Moan Recordings. Their first release on Deeperfect was only in June 2017, so we are very excited to have them back on the label in such a short space of time. Here we have a powerful two tracker consisting of a single and remix, and with tracks this good, there is no need for more.
Blackbird is a bouncy slab of minimal tech house that is perfectly executed by the hands of Artslaves. The groove is stripped back and hypnotising and uses subtle changes to create a constant feel of evolution and a steady rise of tension. Soon, a soulful vocal and distorted organ chords enter the stage to deliver a full ascension of power and emotion to the track.
Up next is label boss, Stefano Noferini, with his expert interpretation. Stefano takes us on a more peak time and pushing journey with his intense, pumping rendition of Blackbird. The drums are a fast paced, syncopated affair complimented with a darker, brooding edge to the atmospheric and melodic elements of the composition. Stefano brings the memorable vibe of the original to his remix but manages to elevate the tension and energy in a way very few producers can.

Ibizan duo the Mambo Brothers make their debut on longtime friend Nic Fanciulli’s Saved Records and deliver an EP of two incredible floor fillers which have already been doing the rounds this summer.
First up is “Super 800” which dominates with its rolling bass line and rising synths panning across the spectrum, teasing the listener as it builds with intelligent programming.
“Eso Es” is equally as powerful where tribal drums work alongside disco loops and hooky vocals, sealing off a release which will be heard for months to come.

A firm favourite with the Hot Creation camp, Jey Kurmis returns to the label with his Jessycat EP. Following acclaimed releases Lil’ Nic French, Kari and Not Too Flabbeh on the imprint, we once again see the talented producer at the top of his game.
 
The EP stays true to Jey’s trademark sound as the producer delivers three tracks to take the dancefloor through to the small hours. The EP opens with Jessycat, a bubbling tribal affair that implores you to move. An array of vocals bleeds into the record taking you on a journey to outer space. Fien features co-producers Nukov & Yelmet and takes a darker turn with a rumbling bass and intense vocals that state “my head spinning like a merry go”. The outer space sounds continue into closing track Vanstone, unfolding with a swinging bass and distorted stabs.
 
Part of the industry from more than a decade, Jey Kurmis has previously released on labels such as; Moon Harbour, Leftroom and Kaluki. Taking his DJ skills to new levels he has played the world’s hottest parties- from Sonar to BPM, and The Warehouse Project to DC10. The Leed’s based music maker has also commanded residencies at Do Not Sleep and Paradise.

Transitioning in high gear into festival season, Saul Antolin & Gianluca Rattalino present their newest and colossal release entitled "This Is Groove EP".

The duo put forth two massive originals, and in our humble opinion, their best work yet. "This Is Groove" and "Just Dance" consist of bumping house & tech house grooves. Saul and Gianluca cleverly combine peak time moments with  trippy vibes. The Bassel Darwish remix of "This Is Groove" rounds things out in an energetic mood and finishes off what is an excellent EP in magnificent manner.
