For their penultimate release of the year Toolroom welcome yet another label debutant, this time in the form of Italian tech maestro, Uto Karem. What Uto has created here truly is something special. The result of re-creating those lead synth elements from the classic Octave One ‘Blackwater’ track and layering them over the top of a low-slung and dirty tech house groove is just incredible. With the insatiable BPM Festival in Mexico just around the corner, this certainly looks set to become an underground anthem and provide the sound-track to those sun drenched pool parties.

As if the original wasn’t exciting enough, Ninetoes is drafted in on remix duties, also debuting on the label, and he manages to take the track to a whole new level by using tougher drums and a hypnotic, techno driven bass line. This version definitely lends itself more to the club dance floors making this the perfect package and another aspirational string to Toolroom’s musical bow of 2015.

They call it the Art of Minimalism. Basti Grub's Skilaro EP on Deeperfect is a masterful expedition towards the unseen borders of sound. It is a heroic attempt to extract the most of every instrument, each sample, and any voice. The talented German carefully selects the tools. He arranges them beautifully in his own original version, and invites two other artists, Leonardo Gonnelli and David Pher to pick them up and build something completely new. Gonnelli's interpretation is a whole revision of the piece: it translates it into an energetic peak-time explosive, loaded with energy and groove. The two David Pher interpretations are set-edging pieces: a remix designed for the perfect warmup, and a sweet after hour sunset revision. Grub spoils us towards the end with an enriched vocal version, featuring Vito and Carry, to complete a perfect package and masterful demonstration of the much an artist can do with very few resources.

Having evolved into a staple on the electronic music circuit over the past decade we're more than happy to welcome Marco Biagini a.k.a. Kellerkind to the Hive Audio family. With albums and single releases on labels like Sirion Records, Stil Vor Talent, Katermukke and many others the man from Solothurn has been rocking dancefloors for real and continues to do so with his latest outing „Decatune EP“.

Opening with the title track we see Kellerkind unfold a pumping, hypnotic and well energetic sound vision balancing the line between energetic TechHouse and Techno, relying on spatial arrangements, raw synth outbursts and a thrilling, somewhat 80s reminiscing background sequence in combination with bell-like clonks, beautiful breakdowns and powerful retrofuturisms for peak time hours all over the place.

On remix duties for „Decatune“ is Reto Ardour, a Swiss producer who is focusing on a deeper, more hypnotic and Trance-inducing aspect here, weighs in a floating, mysterious touch in terms of atmospheres and therefore makes his mix a nightly open-air-in-the-woods favorite for each and everyone heavily in love with tender piano breakdowns and playful, curious creatures from next door dimensions for a reason.

The second rework for „Decatune“ is crafted by Anthik whose offering presents another exploration of thrilling TechTrance realms, weighing in buzzing background percussions and an added, minimal yet futuristic side-motif leading towards a maximum climax and more musical mystique for those in the know.

Finally we see Kellerkind's „Slomo“ rounding off this four track single with a not-that-slow musical effort amalgamating a solid TechHouse foundation with soft, beautifully floating (Neo)Trance pads, blurred stabs and spaced out vocal filters, all falling into place to create a sunrise rave anthem for hovering crowds for sure.

Josha & Jan Dalvik throw a brawny package of dancefloor goodies at us. Their latest Pilgrim track comes together with superb remixes by Picca & Mars and Great Stuff Recordings homey BEDRAN.

Both remixes go all in with in-your-face, stomping kicks, swinging drums and rough bass lines. All artists make sure that the main-hook line will be stuck in your eardrums for months to come. Some very dangerous and on point floor fillers we have here - for you!

The original mix is pure fire as well, here Josha & Jan focus on the captivating male vocal and combining it with a neat and percussive tech house foundation. The enormous horn-like sounds throughout the track make it a stand out tune for this summer season.
