Eskuche is a Russian, by way of NYC, DJ and producer who has been making a lot of waves over the past few years. With releases on Hot Creations, Viva Music, Repopulate Mars and a whole host of other top tier labels, he clearly has what it takes to go far in the underground scene. How You Feel, the first of three tracks on offer here, is a driving tech house tune. Eskuche lays the foundation with a solid beat and a punchy sub bass. Strategically placed FX shots and synth riffs provide excitement and energy while a hip hop-esque vocal blazes ahead on the track. “Now let me know, how the f**k do you feel?”
Track two, titled It’s Our Party, brings a serious amount of energy and power to the EP with a full force banger of a tune. Heavy drums and a solid bass, which builds and evolves with a variety of layers and timbers, hold things down and ensure a heavy workout on the subwoofers. It’s Our Party is a definitive club tune with non-stop action from start to finish.
Closing out the EP is epicly named, Rave Me! Here we have a funky, jacking, tech house jam with solid beats, a funky driving bassline and energetic open hats and rides. The track twists and turns as an ominous vocal leads you through both the track and “the party” like a rave focused spirit guide. Absolute dancefloor mayhem will ensue!

Hood Politics is beyond proud to welcome Ben Read back to their label as he comes firing in from the UK with the fourth consecutive sophomore release. The imprint has been anticipating this EP for ages - Ben's last EP with them caused a ruckus all across the globe and we're confident to say this one takes things a step further. 

Diving head first into this powerful pairing of tracks, Ben Read delivers absolute carnage with his title track sent straight from the gods. 'Rise' combines some of the greatest vocals on earth with a classy, unmatched bass line, brilliant drum work and focus on funk. 'Boogie Bang' brings us his signature tech house flavour with a bit more grit and grime, wasting no time in sending crowds to dance floors on the moon.  

With this EP Hood Politics gets the honour of welcoming Save As to the label, an absolute weapon from their home town who's brought nothing but light into their lives. Save As supplied us with the remix we didn't know we needed. He took a perfect track and turned it up two, maybe three notches, giving them obscure synthesis paired with immaculate grooves and loads of energy.  

This has to be one of the label's favourite EPs ever released, straight up. What this release stands for is the reason they started the label. A bold statement. But be warned.
