UK based DJ and producer, Denney, makes his welcome return to Nic Fanciulli's Saved Records this autumn with his brand new, 'The Spell' EP. Over the past decade, Denney has spent time developing and honing his distinct sound with his tracks being picked up and supported by the likes of Sasha, Damian Lazarus, Seth Troxler, MANDY and Pete Tong and his releases have found homes on highly respected labels including VIVa, Hot Creations, Crosstown Rebels, Knee Deep In Sound, Anjunadeep and Do Not Sleep to name but a few. Denney's style is unmistakable offering a unique blend of House and Techno with a distinct ability to create a very special atmosphere. 'The Spell' EP does not disappoint, keeping the energy high; both tracks offer lively synths, swinging percussion, snappy drum patterns, chopped up vocals hooks from duo Pablo:Rita and turbocharged basslines that will captivate you in a trance. After a strong Truesoul debut last September, Oscar L returns with a triple dose of groove. 

We got our first taste of Oscar L’s talents when he dropped the excellent ‘Konfusion’ EP in late summer 2018, a triple threat of ‘90s inspired house, punchy peak-time tech funk and the Spaniard’s skillful drum work highlighted throughout. As the weather starts to turn in our favour, it’s time to welcome him back to the clan for round two with his ‘Multiplayer’ EP.

The work kicks things off with ‘Monster Tube’, a deep roller that sees chunky percussion rub shoulders with dizzying arpeggiated melody lines. The EP’s title track follows, a cheeky vocal sample bringing verge and energy to the groovy bed of drums that sit beneath. ‘Primewire’ rounds out the triumvirate of tracks, working superbly as a functional and energetic DJ tool.

Having caught our ears with previous releases on Desolat, Hot Creations and Rukus, the Malaga born DJ/producer, Cuartero, delivers two exemplary tracks for Eats Everything’s Edible imprint.

Eccentric and intricate house grooves are on display on lead track, ‘Rapuh’.  A ton of funk is injected into this bouncy party starter, with Cuartero twisting some melons with some clever play on the vocal samples.  

On ‘Mo Chi Chi’, we are treated to more quality Chicago house inspired tackle; bumpin’ rhythms and squelching bottom end in a relentless jack-a-thon.  Functional, groovy as hell, and head and shoulders above the rest of the pack, Cuartero is one to watch for sure over the coming months!

Dennis Cruz - Wicked

Ellum Audio mainstay Raxon is back with two more of his cosmic techno wonders.

Raxon hails from Egypt, is Barcelona based and has risen through the ranks with a well crafted and emotive techno sound on labels like Diynamic, Kompakt, Cocoon and more. Last summer he played huge parties like Resistance Ibiza at Privilege as well as festivals like DGTL. Though he has made big moves in recent years, Raxon has been deeply involved in the scene for more than two decades.

Characterful opener 'Loop Machine' is a dark and playful tune with loopy vocals layered over a rolling drum beat. The pixelated synths spray about the mix and the whole thing is destined to make the club bounce as one.

The excellent 'Love Lapse' has a retro feel with its 80s synth chords and widescreen astral atmospheres. A busy bassline does plenty of work to keep things moving, while turbulent blasts of synths and prickly percussion add vital texture to this late night jam.

These are two more forward-looking and evocative tracks from the ever on-point Raxon.
