Gregory and Safak have been friends for near on a decade and they are heavily inspired buy 4x4 house from way back when. The MPC200XL is there weapon of choice and these jazz collectors certainly have endeared themselves to us. Welcome..

On remix duty we present to you an artist we hold in high regard and one that is close to our hearts at Steppers & Sleepers, https://soundcloud.com/chris-wj. Formerly of Coventry (UK) and now Massachusetts, United States, https://soundcloud.com/chris-wj is somewhat of an enigma to his following.

He concerns himself with rhythm and delivery, thanks to exposure to a percussionists ideal at a young age. His discography is modest at best, but his armory of unreleased edits and productions is mighty. His roots are subliminally Erick Morillo and early Strictly Rhythm. https://soundcloud.com/chris-wj is very much apart of our DNA here at Steppers & Sleepers as he more than anyone else is largely responsible for effecting the early years of https://soundcloud.com/augustus_gloop as a mentor. We have been waiting a while to have https://soundcloud.com/tilman affect us with his wizardry and he blesses us with a truly inspiring acid house take on the 'Beat MPC'. If you collect vinyl then you will know of his https://soundcloud.com/klamauk label founded in 2008 home to a string of impressionistic cuts. a producer very much in love with samples, synthesizers and drum machines and very much in our hearts.

It’s been a crazy but productive year for Marseille’s Matt Sassari. Having dropped releases on Kraftek, KMS, Bitten and Bouq, plus remixes for the likes of Tronic, Deeperfect and Form; the young producer is enjoying a rich and creative run that today sees him become the newest member of the SCI+TEC family with his label debut ‘Barglom’. 

The three track EP sees the Frenchman again showcase his deep, techy grooves as he opens with ‘You Know Chorus’ and its swollen pulsing bassline and fearsome rave stabs that jab throughout, breaking and yet enhancing the flow of the record. ‘Barglom’ kicks hard from the off but is tempered by subtle railroad horns that work brilliantly with Matt’s stripped beats to create a funky little engine. 

Final track ‘Harchinery’ sees Sassari team up with long time friend Matt Mor to create a darker and creepier finalé to the release while still maintaining the strong groovin’ backbone that runs throughout.

The true techno dream team of Dubfire & Oliver Huntemann revisit their Elements project from a few years ago with a new series of killer remixes. Terra - originally released in 2011, did all sorts of damage to dance-floors across the globe. Now, it’s all set to do it again thanks to this Joseph Capriati Remix. The Italian techno headliner has grown into a major force on the scene in recent years, and here delivers a signature slice of muscular, driving techno - taut, dramatic and devastating. Paired with a remix of the now seminal Feugo Julien Jeweil’s remix also hits the spot - the track received a 2016 overhaul with some of Jeweil’s signature flair. The Frenchman has been a constant figure on the top of various charts and line ups for some time, and its easy to see why - Fuego is stripped back machine funk primed for big systems and even bigger moments.
