One of the UK's favourite house talents, Josh Butler's relationship with Solid Grooves stretches back years. Following two huge releases on the label in 'Right Time' and 'Keep It Hot', summer welcomes his first outing via sister imprint Solid Grooves Raw as he takes things darker for the low-slung sonics of 'Ratchet'.

A rumbling and moody cut fusing menacing basslines beneath signature snappy drums, flickering scratch effects and hooky vocal interjections, 'Ratchet' sees Butler on the offensive as he delivers a powerful production with a visceral groove at its core.

Eddy M's timeline to the point of writing 'MTF' in capital letters shows conventional wisdom when the lure of the house that Jack built comes calling. A drummer in his youth and a graduate of Palermo's European school of Jazz, studying the ins and outs of piano, guitar and percussion, now has Wally Lopez, Matthias Tanzmann, Marco Carola and Kaiserdisco dishing out big ups for his dancefloor designs. He therefore slots nicely into the Clarisse schedule for release number 68, of deep beats with pistons gleaming, and minimalism with a mass of action going on. This is Eddy M, not EDM.

Since relocated from Sicily to Barcelona, Eddy M heads his own appropriately named Drumkit Records label, runs with the major players of the Elrow crew, and has his feet under the table at Space Ibiza following successive closing party slots. For 'MTF Beat' he adopts a buffalo stance with bass laid down large and on the low, precisely positioned trumpeters, scratches and samples coming at you from every corner of the arena. Perfect for when the combination of sun, sea and sand becomes the view from your window seat.

'Don't Stop' will become a personal best for those that treat clubbing like a marathon, running through the decades and showing bumpy vibes, rave klaxons and hip-hop attitude a clean pair of heels. More dancefloor confetti decorates a bottom end riding shotgun with energetic, reinforced beats that won't stop until sun up, and breakdowns that don't break stride guarantee the elevation of every limb. Man the fire extinguisher, because this one is hot.
