Some of you already know that I'm a big lover of Movie Soundtracks. I really like those punchy violins that you can hear in some action movies, so I decided to try to make some. After making a big part of the track, I thought that it was still missing something. I made it to listen to a couple of friends, and one was with his daughter, Elea, 9 years old. She seemed to enjoy the track and was very interested to music. So I asked her if she would like to sing on it and we had a lot of fun doing it. Paul Woolford returns to Hotflush with ‘Mother & Child’, his third solo outing on the label following the inescapable anthems, ‘Untitled’ and ‘MDMA’.

‘Mother & Child’ sees Woolford explore a different style and more cultivated mood. Comprised of two variations on a theme, the lead cut combines both sostenuto and clipped strings in an overarching and evolving melody. There’s a sense of menace and foreboding, yet the record’s heart belongs, as ever, strongly to Woolford’s home turf - the dance floor. This newfound contemplative air is brought to the fore on ‘Mother & Child Divided' as he strips back all rhythmic elements to leave a beautifully sprawling tapestry of strings and synths; alluring, dramatic and cinematic in scope. One hopes this mother and child find each other again...

and Lost Records producer Raffa FL.

When not diligently driving Kenja forward with his own productions, Spiteri has been charming the

upper echelons of the industry with releases on S-Man’s Undr The Radr, Darius Syrossian’s Do Not

Sleep and Mark Knight’s Toolroom.

‘All Night’ sets out with the dancefloor in mind, incorporating shuffling hats, crunchy snares and an

infectious low-end to boot. In comparison Italian producer Raffa FL’s remix is more bassline focused

whilst implementing echoing vocal snippets and suspenseful breakdowns.
