Boysnoize Records are releasing two Depeche Mode remixes from last year’s Delta Machine album, incredibly the Basildon Synth Pop pioneer’s 13th album. Delta Machine marked the end of a trilogy of records the group recorded with Ben Hillier, and is considered amongst their best, most powerful, gothic and twisted electronic album’s since 1990’s Violator, which produced the singles Personal Jesus and Enjoy The Silence. Boys Noize has history in this department releasing an incredible space age remix of Personal Jesus in 2011. Djedotronic’s remix of Alone is part dark, swirling, post-industrial soundscape, part four-to-the-floor banger.

‘The main idea with this remix was to play with the contrast between intimate melody and claustrophobic rhythm. It's my attempt to translate the duality of feelings that is present in the original song.’ @djedjotronic

The next release on Moon Harbour comes from mysterious Australian production duo Nil By Mouth. The pair prefers to lurk in the shadows and let their music speak for itself, but so far they have released a considered brand of deep house on labels like Suruba, Save Room and Affin.

This four track Broken Legs EP is no different. It kicks off with the wavy, deep and groovy house of 'Glabella'. Plenty of radiant pads bring the heat, whilst a lovelorn vocal speaks of the challenges of finding love. It's heartfelt without losing a certain sense of grit, where next cut 'Sphenoid' is more percussive and chattery in its grooves. Intricate sound design and subtly shifting rhythmic patterns sweep you up and never let you go until the final beat.

'Zygomatic' has pinging analogue bass notes as its foundation whilst choppy drums and a humid tribalism characterise the top. Some circling synth sounds add a sci-fi sense of futurism and the whole thing is forever shifting in form.

'Ulna' is the most colourful, with bright chords bouncing between louche kick drums and crisp, reflective percussion. It's a classic house groove done in a thoroughly modern way with great use of a male voice to bring the human element.

This EP, then, will likely have many more people wondering exactly who are Nil by Mouth...

For those that dont know Speed Garage is essentially a combination of the US Garage sound mixed with Jungle influences from the UK, using a 4x4 beat with dub sound effects and a heavy bassline. These tunes still sound fresh today and its influences are still felt today within the UK Garage, House and Dubstep scene.

Speedy's Presents : History Of Speed Garage

It all started for 'Deep Glitch' in the year 2006, when two Wolverhampton based brothers, both with a sheer love for music and the clubbing scene finally felt the need to fullfil their joint dream of both becoming dj's. At the ages of 17 and 20, Alex Hughes & James Hughes got their first ever set up consisting of two cd'j 800's along with a DJM 600. Both already having an utter fixation with house music, endless hours were spent shrouded away in their bedroom trying to perfect the art of dj'ing. 

As time went on, both brothers experimented with a diverse genre of music, including classics, speed garage, uk garage and anything and everything else in between. With many of these styles suiting the the underground scene of Birmingham, they both earned themselves sets individually at the likes of GLAS, IF at Bushwackers, FACE, SARF, WWJD, B1, Sunday Club, Dolce Vita along with many more of the 2nd biggest city in the countries most prominent events. 

It wasn't until a few years after they had both began to dj, that the brothers really started to establish a true passion towards a genre of music like never before. Deep house, tech house and techno started enticing and appealing to them both, and after a 'memorable' trip to the White Isle in 2010, they decided to start taking things more seriously and began playing together under their new alias, 'Deep Glitch'. 

Today, they have secured themselves residencies at KALUKI, one of Sankeys (Manchester) most popular Saturday night events and two of Birminghams most infamous events 2:31 (Official FACE after party) and GLAS, whilst picking up many other sets along the way. Playing alongside some of Birminghams finest dj's, as well as being on the same lineup as the likes of HEIDI, SOLOMUN, RICHY AHMED, MIGUEL CAMPBELL, TALE OF US, CLOCKWORK, DYED SOUNDOROM & SHONKY. Their predominantly techno and tech sound has been doing damage on the dance floors of Birmingham, giving them much recognition by the clubber's of todays underground house scene.
