Here is Modern Amusement Podcast 03...I was enjoying a caipirinha in my hotel room on my last night in Sao Paulo this weekend, when I heard a rapid metallic knock at the door…   Thinking it was an errant room service, when I opened the door and saw nothing I was shocked…

Until I heard a series of bleeps and tones and a shiver coming from the ground and looked down.  I was surprised to see b6 the backwards motion robot again.  He was shivering and cold to the touch and his outstretched claw held a disc labeled “Lee Foss – Modern Amusement Podcast 03”   below was a a message from a future me that this was a recording of an old school house set from the early 2000's played at the 2088 Neptune Ball.  While excited to see more evidence that in the future both time travel and planetary colonies are possible I was disappointed that once again there was no tracklisting on the disc.

A new Italian partnership for Hot Creations, Clockwork, have created one of the most sought after dancefloor tracks so far this year with ‘It’s You Again’, complete with an irresistible remix from Lee Foss, Robert James and Art Department.

Stirring the hysteria further for Jamie Jones and Lee Foss’ prolific Hot Natured and Hot Creations collective, ‘It’s You Again’ is a melting pot of robotic vocals, eerie bleeps and bass. Driving gothic melodies play under distorted vocal cries and creaking sounds creating another surefire genre defying weapon for the label.

The high voltage ‘Electricity’ kicks things off with the sensational voice of Anabel Englund leading the way. The deep, slow grooves ride effortlessly through the track with a breath-taking break down filled with electric bolts and melodic synth keys.

‘Goodnight Moon’ is the second on offer from Lee and Marc and boasts a heavy bass, beautiful synths patterns and infectious groove. The atmosphere in the track is filled with layers of intricate percussions and luscious melodies, while the interesting vocals make this really stand out from the rest.

Over on the B-side Lee takes the reins with ‘Could Be’, effortlessly swarming the mind with soaring synths, soft R n’B style vocals and lo-slung driving bass lines, while the trippy keys are destined to hypnotize you on the dancefloor.

Rounding off ‘B5 the Dinks’ is aimed straight at the dancefloor. Packed full of groove with an intoxicating bassline, the high-pitched warbling keys, vocals and crowd noises add a new dimension and make this a real party track. (Maouris)
