Chus L. Esteban, aka DJ CHUS, born and raised in Madrid, Spain (1971), started his professional career at the end of the '80s in his home town, amidst the full-blown euphoria of the acid-house movement at Club' Alien', one of the first clubs of the famous Kapital Group in Madrid. In August of 1992, he becomes the resident DJ at the legendary 'Kadoc' Club in the Portuguese Algarve. He shared the DJ booth with the best international Electronic acts at that time, witnessing from a privileged position the dance music explosion during the 90′s. His style, influenced by the Portuguese and American underground sounds, definitely converged into house music inspired by Disco, Latin, and World Music. 

In 1994, Chus became resident DJ of the first emblematic House Club in Madrid at Teatro Kapital, lasting ten years. He soon developed a passion for the art of electronic music production, working with the bests professionals in Madrid like David Penn, D-Formation, or Oscar L.

Chus created a personal vision of underground house music called the 'Iberican Sound' influenced by the culture of Spain and Portugal, but was along with Ceballos, whose techno background gelled with Chus's House style when this fusion turned up the 'Iberican Sound' becoming into a worldwide movement.  

His Music style is a delicious blend of Organic House, warm and intense with a vital and profound Tribal essence that fuses naturally with melodic and evolving sounds, percussion rhythms, and drums. A long-haul career based on his self-taught character and his constant defense of musical quality has turned him into one of the industry's most respected DJs. Chus's strength resides in his charisma and the unique and pure way he chooses to engage with people.  

Residencies worldwide, many awards collected throughout his career, 'DJ of the Year,' 'Best House DJ,' 'Best Remixer' or 'Best House Label' to name but a few. Over 25 years of music legacy on labels such as Defected, Nervous, and his Stereo Productions show his wide range of music styles and unlimited love for different genres. His blend of styles is his dogma and the quality, his message.  

Redolent Music is his most recent project, a new independent record label, event producer, management agency, and lifestyle concept, created alongside La Santa, whose purpose is to cater to the evolving music industry and develop emerging talent.

Lithuanian DJ and producer Marijus Adomaitis first found fame under the pseudonym Mario Basanov, recording deep and progressive house. His initial releases, such as the singles "I'll Be Gone" and "Who's Shot the Silence?" were collaborations with fellow Lithuanian Vidmantas Cepkauskas, aka Vidis. In 2009 Basanov released his '80s-synth-influenced debut solo EP Après 4, which contained the hit "Do You Remember"; further similar singles followed, including "Caribbean Girl," "Closer," and "We Are Child of Love." In 2011 he won Producer of the Year at the annual Lithuanian Music Awards; the following year, he released both a solo album, Journey, and an album with Vidis, Changed.

In 2013 he decided he wanted to try something different. A classically trained musician who had been to music school and played the bassoon, he was interested in incorporating more classical influence into his electronic music. After spending a while perfecting a synth sound which would emulate the bassoon, he launched a new alter ego, Ten Walls, with an emphasis on musical theory and physical vinyl releases. He managed to keep his identity secret for almost a year before being "outed" online. Unlike his work as Basanov, the EPs Gotham and Requiem were wholly instrumental, had a tougher, more technoid sound, and incorporated elements from classical orchestration, taking the listener on epic journeys. His music struck a chord with clubbers, and the EPs were extremely well-received. His 2014 single "Walking with Elephants," originally released on his own Boso label, was picked up for digital distribution by Atlantic; the major label funded an eye-popping video which hugely increased the track's profile, propelling it to number six in the U.K. singles chart.

If you haven’t heard directly of John Acquaviva’s works, the chances are - whatever your involvement with electronic music is - that you will be aware of his work and influence within the electronic music community. The Italian-Canadian artist may be best known for his involvement with the techno titan Richie Hawtin, and the forming of the highly influential labels Plus 8 Recordings and DEFINITIVE recordings, however his influence and reach extends in swathes beyond these considered pillars of dance music culture.

Although his music and industry accolades sit amongst the greatest in the game, much more can be said about the kind of driven, open-minded character John Acquaviva possesses. A natural entrepreneur, an industry visionary and an avid collector of records, Acquaviva has long set the pace in an underground movement that has become so fruitful and diverse since its inception - not to mention being one of the most technically gifted DJ’s to grace a pair of turntables. Acquaviva is as intrinsic to the progression of dance music as any and a true pioneer in the evolution of what we consider the modern DJ.

On the technological front, no other DJ has made such significant contributions to the advancement of how DJs perform. Acquaviva’s masterful technique and firm grasp of the trade led to his fruitful involvement with Final Scratch and Beatport. A vital founder and active member of both companies – the former, a tool that allows manipulation and playback of digital audio sources, and the latter, a major online hub for electronic music – John’s role extends far beyond his taste making capabilities. He’s been an integral figure in sculpting the genre’s game-changing transition from analogue to digital, and from vinyl to turntables and laptops. Sharing this vision with fellow Canadian act Richie Hawtin, the pair spearheaded a project that would act as the iTunes of dance. Together, the duo arguably paved the path for a new and zestful era.

In 1990, Acquaviva and Hawtin co-founded Plus 8 Records, which capitalised on minimal releases from Cybersonik, Speedy J, Kenny Larkin and Plastikman. It wasn’t until 1993, however, that the pair began to truly embrace their passions for house music by dishing up a second imprint – DEFINITIVE Records. An imprint that was later re-launched in 2005 inspired by the uprising of Beatport and the new future of music distribution. Defined by a more progressive and tech house sound from such luminaries as Olivier Giacomotto, the imprint marked the beginning of John’s unparalleled taste as a global powerhouse and exemplar in dance music. Still releasing music to this day, DEFINITIVE has gone on to be one of the most iconic labels in dance music history.

2016 was a phenomenal year for John Acquaviva. Alongside Director and Writer Jimmie Gonzalez, Acquaviva Executive Produced The Red Man film. A modern day psychological mystery, which delves into the life of a contemporary DJ, The Red Man won numerous awards including ‘Best Feature Film Audience Choice Award’ at the 2015 Yellow Fever International Film Festival, ‘2015 Platinum Award Best Nevada Film’ at the Nevada Film Festival and ‘Best Screenplay’ and ‘Best Supporting Actor: Daniel Faraldo’ at the 2015 Macabre Faire Film Fest. On the music
front, Acquaviva was also dubbed ‘Electronic Music Pioneer’ at the 2016 DJ Awards in Ibiza.

Andy Bros a.k.a. Antimo Argenziano, was born in 1987. In the first years of his life he comes in contact with music, thanks to his father, fond of vinyls, and his brother, piano player and dj. An unbelievable travel through rhythms, sounds and different generations, brings him more and more closer to that consolle he has being looking at for years.

Since he’s a child he follows his brother to several parties, standing in a corner all the time, looking at his brother’s hands giving his all. We’re in the 90’s and the House Music of the best USA labels is his favourite music. Some years later, in 2001, Andy starts living music as dj, finally it’s his own hands controlling the consolle and choosing records. It’s a an overwhelming passion. As years go bye, he improves his skills and his taste in music, deeply influenced by the overseas sound. Several genres have characterized his first 10 years as dj, from House to current Electronic Deep, with deeper roots in Jazz, Soul and Funky. His sets can be synthesized in a strong and swinging “sonorous magma“. He loves to extemporize, but sensibly, by taking care of technique and the right sound matching. In 2009, motivated by his strong desire to deepen the study of music, he becomes sound engineer, after attending a 2 years course at the “Spazio Musica” school. It seems obvious, by listening to his last productions, how his travel through different sounds still goes on making Andy Bros an eclectic and complete artist, not afraid to experiment new genres giving them his own identity.

CASOMAT006 is the ‘White Spring’ EP - two originals by Swiss producer Normen Hood and remixes by Deckert and Lerm & Hamoon. Based in Zürich, Normen Hood cites the mountains and rivers around his home as the inspiration for his music. And considering the consistent stream of quality output he produces, the inspiration is quite clearly (both literally and figuratively) flowing.

White Spring’s is a looping arpeggio, almost disorientating at points, with the main motif being reflected and flipped and delayed and played back from all directions. Luna starts slow and gradually builds, teasing at what’s to come for a good 4 minutes before finally opening up into a huge pad, lush & expansive and completely enveloping the listener.

On remix duties for ‘White Spring’ is German producer Deckert, coming fresh off the back of a string of releases on labels like Stil Vor Talent, Connected and URSL. Sometimes alone, sometimes with production partner Aaaron and sometimes as part of electronic live act DEORBITING, Deckert clearly draws inspiration from numerous genres and styles and uses it to his advantage, creating diverse and innovative music.

Rounding out the EP is LERM & Hamoon’s interpretation of ‘Luna’. Budapest-based LERM and Tehran-based Hamoon are no strangers to each other, having already spent last summer collaborating and working on original music together - the results of which are starting to appear on labels like Future Frequencies. Hamoon says that his primary goal is to use synths to introduce unexplored experimental places to the realm of contemporary electronic music, an attitude which he and LERM clearly have in common. Their output can be described as interesting & thought-provoking music for connaisseurs, unafraid to break norms and venture into uncharted territories.

There aren’t many artists who’ve soundtracked the birth of dance music and are still leading its development more than two decades later. There are even less who have gifted both the club and pop scenes with unforgettable musical moments that get talked about in hushed tones years after their creation. Dave Seaman is one of a select few. 

It’s a commonality that everyone from clubbers at Creamfields, to the biggest recording artists on the planet share. Having devoted almost every weekend over the last 20 years to moving dancefloors from Ibiza to Iceland, Seaman has played the world’s most recognised festivals and clubs in more than 80 countries throughout his career, while still lending his production nous to the music industry’s A List. Along with crafting beats for Ms Minogue and Pet Shop Boys, everyone from David Bowie to New Order and U2 to Michael Jackson have received a Seaman re-rub.

Wind the clock back to when Seaman was eight years old and it’s difficult to imagine anyone wanting to devote their life to music quite as much as the Leeds-born lad. While others indulged in pipe dreams of becoming an English Premier League star or following Neil Armstrong into space, Seaman – much to his career councillor’s disapproval – knew he was destined for a life full of beats and rhythm. 
By the early ‘80s, the music obsessive was spinning records at his high school disco and earning his pocket money playing friends’ birthday parties. He knew how to talk-the-talk, too. In 1987 the still-amateur DJ and DMC member won a trip to New York to attend the New Music Seminar – the industry’s most important event at that time. The trip ultimately led him to land the editor’s role at Mixmag, a position he’d hold for the next three years as he shaped the magazine into being the undisputed clubber’s bible it is today. 

Seaman played his first bona-fide professional DJ gig at the legendary Shelley’s in Stoke in 1990, stroking vinyl alongside a couple of emerging talents by the name of Sasha and Laurent Garnier. Acid house was blooming and Seaman’s boundless enthusiasm and creative spirit was petrol in it’s tank. 

Teaming up with producer and friend Steve Anderson, the duo recorded as Brothers In Rhythm, birthing the seminal rave anthem ‘Such A Good Feeling’ which became a UK Top 20 hit, while also issuing the landmark ‘Mixmag Live Volume’ 1 with Carl Cox in 1991 – a release that stands as one of the first ever commercially available mix compilations. 

Seaman’s unrelenting desire to propel music at all levels saw him kickstart the Stress Records imprint through DMC, showcasing tunes by some of the finest talent in dance music for more than a decade. Artists including Sasha, Danny Tenaglia, John Digweed and Groove Armada’s Andy Cato all released smoking club cuts on the label, with many crediting it as acting as a global launching pad for their careers. He followed Stress with a decade at the helm of Audio Therapy where similar levels of success ensued proving his ability to spot & nurture talent time and time again. 

Today, Seaman’s passion to exhibit boundary-breaking talent is as strong as ever. Via the independent record label Selador Recordings which he co owns with long time friend, Steve Parry, his inspired A&R has helped nurture some of the finest groove-merchants in dance music. The label’s roster speaks for itself, with Cristoph, Nicolas Masseyeff, Kiko, Kevin Over, Dubspeeka, Habischman, D Nox & Beckers, Quivver, Kiki, Gorge and Robert Babicz all contributing tracks and remixes recently.
