Behzad quickly forged a solid reputation of DJ with his partner Amarou with their energetic and vivacious set

After their opus Batiment 21 (Concrete Music) alongside Dario Zenker, Abdulla Rashim and Bleak and Golden Boy (Work Them) under the name of Outsiders - their side project with Antigone – an EP which received an enthusiastic reception from the international techno scene...
Their noted appearances at Weather Festival, Tresor, Rex (Ostgut Ton Nacht alongside Rodhad), or at the party launching of Nina Kraviz label at Sonar, together with Luke Hess and Alien Rain among others, promised them a bright future.
Concrete residents since 8 years , they launched their personal label " Behzad et Amarou Records " (BEAR) in February 2015, and released a remix of Caiazzo – Dredge on WORK THEM RECORDS .
A few years later , they released two different tracks for Perchepolis and Subtyl opening label.
Behzad also made collaboration with OHES and the Cello Mathieu Deranlot for Steven Rutter’s Label « Firescope » under « BOA feat Mathieu Deranlot - Merci Pierre
Actually Behzad is doing some cultural project with musical eletronic composition masterclass at every level and continues to produce music in his studio in Marseille

Born in Kassel, Germany,1984, Pedram Eda moved to Iran at the age of 9 . His creative involvement with music began when he started playing the piano at the age of 5. For the next 8 years he was absorbed by Alternative and Rock music. In 1998 his interests shifted to house and electronic music. Some years later he started teaching himself to mix and never stopped ever since. His first gigs were in underground parties in Iran, where he played for four years along with his friends Siamak and Farzan. In 2005 Pedram Eda moved to Düsseldorf, Germany. He soon became resident at Baby Love, and played in various clubs in Düsseldorf and Wuppertal berlin,köln , amsterdam . He and his partners Marcus Klug and Andre.. Hein organized the “Hirnlego” parties in clubs such as Hoffnunghuette (Schlachthof). He also was resident dj in Salon des Amateurs and die nacht moenchengladbach, also he is music producer , his first track was released in greenhorn records , now he is in Iran and for his own brand dynamin isotonic sport drink he organized electronic music and sport events

He released his first single track (Reborn) for DHT as Amira Lii. Second self titled EP was released on Sibilization on Adjacent Possible.

Anahita Shamsaei is an underground Techno DJ and founder of the Makaan collective based in London. Makaan is a collective and space for SWANA+ artists to deliver unfiltered Techno music with absolutely no apologies. "As with all Makaan parties, we shine a light on parts of the world that are often misrepresented, under-represented or forgotten completely. In my view dance music is a universal language so there should be no barriers for anyone"
Anahita was born in Sheffield/UK and grew up in Tehran/Iran. She has a degree in Islamic history and Middle Eastern studies from School of Oriental and African studies (SOAS). Music has always been a crucial part of her life, and her love for Techno, led her to teach herself everything she knows about this genre of music as well as developing her DJing skills.
"I have always loved Techno music as I believe Techno is so inclusive, comparatively less misogynistic and relatable for people regardless of their background. It has been my safe space. I taught myself how to DJ in my bedroom in Iran and I used to play along with my friends in underground parties in Tehran/ Iran. My brain always syncs with Techno music; therefore, I see my set mixes as manifestation of my brain process.”
"As I developed my love for techno music. I began to see music's ability to fight patriarchal discourse present in today's society. I play regularly in different clubs across Europe. The mere fact of my presence in these clubs means that women of colour can and should be seen in these confiscated spaces. The nature of these events is not just music; it is the cry for our existence that will be heard virtually and physically all over the world. When it comes to performing, perhaps a male artist comes to everyone's mind, and even if they think of a woman, it is probably not a woman of colour. With the Makaan collective, I announce that SWANA+ women are also present in the world of music, that they exist. They are women who are considered coloured in Europe and the United States or elsewhere, and in a way, endure the burden of being in a triple minority: being a woman, being Iranian, and being coloured."

To wrap up the year, W133 has put together its second Various Artist release featuring a diverse lineup of emerging and established artists. 

Kicking off the EP is the French producer Monibi, offering a groovy and bass-heavy breakbeat track titled "Mahsa Amini." This track serves as a call to fight for women's rights, not only in Iran but around the world.

On A2, San Francisco-based Kudeki showcases her love for tripped-out Techno with "Cursive." This mesmerizing track, featuring a relentless bassline and a 4/4 kick, creates a spooky atmosphere.

On the flip side, label head Pino Peña teams up with samwho from Rotterdam to deliver a percussive power workout. "Jacarandas," named after the purple trees in CDMX, definitely has those Latin American vibes and rhythms that will get you moving.

For the closer of the EP, speed dembow heavyweight Siu Mata delivers a fast-hitting tribal bomb called "Dubiquity," which takes you on a journey through dramatic pads and spaced-out percussions.

The release is, as always, complemented by pictures taken by analogue photographer Freya Gerz and is available on vinyl with fully printed cover sleeves as well as digitally.

Sharlese, the Seattle-based DJ and radio host, thrives on the unexpected. The complexities and intricacies built within one of her sets start a dialogue between genres: from electro to EBM,Italo to techno, her vocabulary is vast but always dark. Sharlese’s DJing creates elegant moments in time in which to fall in love, to cry, to feel. Dance floors all over the world—including IFM in the Netherlands, Tresor West in Dortmund, Panorama Bar and Merge in New York City—have experienced her moody sets that ricochet between a seductive beat and uplifting synth patterns. Additionally, her DJ mixes for prestigious podcasts such as pi pi pi, Feinstoff, KIHDI and BITE have further shown her ability to invoke movement from the most unpredictable array of genres made for the sweaty dance floor.
Most of all, Sharlese’s respect and knowledge for music is deep, and it shows. She’s been working at the prestigious KEXP radio station for 17 years and is now a producer for The Afternoon Show, the Programming Education Manager, and is the host of Mechanical Breakdown, a show that emphasizes off-the-cuff underground and boundary-pushing music. Armen Miranian AKA Armen Miran's love and passion for electronic music genres started at a very young age; spending the majority of his time at underground music scenes. His biggest influences include - Pink Floyd, Klaus Schuze, Pete Namlook, Depeche Mode and Eloy to name a few. In 2006, Armen began his journey producing electronic ambient and dark techno sounds. Fast forward to 6 years later, he was booked for his very first gig at Armenia's well known underground venue called Calument, where he left the crowd speechless with his ambient and deep house tunes. It wasn't long before Armen Miran became the name and face of Armenia's underground music scene. In 2013, Armen was awarded the "Top 5 DJ" award at The Techno Art Festival where he played a live b2b set with Evans Deep. With such great feedback and the level of appreciation from listeners, Armen and Evans Deep collaborated and formed "The Monolog." The Monolog played their first live set for a radio station which paved their way to traveling to different countries, giving them a delicious taste of their deep and dark sounds. Recently, Armen Miran decided to call Los Angeles his home. Keep an eye and most importantly an "ear" out for his new and original productions and massive projects in the works that are soon to be released...You are definitely in for a treat!

Niki is a Vancouver-based DJ, musician. Growing up on a musical diet of Rock, Blues and Reggae provided by her parents’ record collection, Niki is hard to pin down musically. Inspired by her family’s love of music, she took up the Guitar at the age of 11. It was only a few years later that she started composing her own acoustic songs. Also it was during this time that Niki got introduced to the sounds of electronic music and she got undeniably hooked instantly. It was around the same time that Niki started tiptoeing around DJ sets, learning the basics.
Being exposed to different music genres, cultures and subcultures, her experiences has served her as a funnel and catalyst for her creativity, which she then translates into arrangements that convey what she has felt in her life with equal intensity and atmosphere.
Today, her sets act like musical journeys that invite the listeners to dive into their own individual world of sensations.

Mez’Rab (Alireza Poorsohoolat) is a 28-year-old music producer, audio engineer, and software
and game developer who was born and raised in Tehran. He has collaborated with top
influential Persian hip-hop artists like Bahram, REZ, Ali Sorena, Dariush, Navid, and ... as
producer and audio engineer since 2008. Besides his hip-hop work, he also has the passion for
sound design and is interested in experimental electronic music. The EP album named "SEH" is
his only solo instrumental album released in 2015 with an interactive audiovisual artwork.
Mez’Rab is also co-founder of Jaryan magazine, which focuses on promoting electronic and
alternative hip-hop music in Iran.

Disco Tehran's mixtape was compiled by Arya Ghavamian (Mirza) in collaboration with Aleph at Radio Aire Libre FM.  
This mixtape is made of original tracks by Disco Tehran family "Flor do Real" by Sessa, "Khodaya Chekonam" by Shahram Shabpareh, "La Monita" by Nicolás Losada,  Askiniha (Asmahan Remix) by Zeid Hamdan, and unreleased tracks  by Polo & Pan, Alejandro Molinari, Acid Hamman & Nasiri. 
Charlotte von Kotze, Shirin Saad, Phil Lembke (Sticky Dojah), Ricardo Luiggi (DJ Tresdos) recommended tracks for this mixtape. The poetry is by late Iranian maestro Ahmad Shamloo.
