Taken from their collaborative 2021 album on 'Stay True Sounds Connected', Kid Fonque and Jonny Miller's 'Jaded' is now given the remix treatment by South African DJ and producer Hypaphonik on Sondela. A perfect fit for the label's distinctive Afro-meets-tech sonic aesthetic, this new version of the record takes a more dancefloor-focussed approach with otherworldly synth work, melodic chords and rippling percussion.

Dutch artists Diephuis and Aeres unleash their first exciting collaboration together, with a stunning fusion of Afro / Latin inspired Tech titled, ‘Desert Sky’. Powered by a funky bass groove and infectious percussive beats, ‘Desert Sky’ comes laced with dreamy ethereal vocals from Areas that float across a rich soundscape of lush emotive melodies, primed to seduce the dancers.

Rotterdam DJ & producer Diephuis (aka Barend-Jan Beljaars / BJB) is well known for his atmospheric blends of deep, afro, techy and soulful house. He released his first single, ‘Deeproots EP’ (Afrazoo Records) in 2009 and has since released on labels such as Atjazz Recording Company, Foliage Records, King Street, Quantize, Nervous, and Nulu, to name a few, as well as his own imprint Diephuis Records, launched in 2020. He has collaborated with artists including Jocelyn Brown, Ursula Rucker, Stephanie Cooke, Hill St Soul, Shea Soul, Eastar, and many more, with his biggest release, ‘Hoye Mama’, with Eastar (Nulu Records), topping the Traxsource overall charts in 2018. Diephuis’ productions and remixes have been championed by the likes of Purple Disco Machine, Louie & Anane Vega, Masters At Work, Black Coffee, Dave Lee, Manoo and Simon Dunmore, among many. And as a DJ, he has played on line-ups together with big players such as Black Coffee, Louie & Anane Vega, David Morales, Kerri Chandler, Dennis Ferrer and many more.

Aeres is an up-and-coming producer and DJ based in the Netherlands, known for seducing crowds with her hypnotic tribal influences combined with storytelling melodies. She has graced the decks at clubs and festivals all over the globe, including New Zealand, Turkey, The Netherlands, Thailand, Qatar and North America. With a couple of collaborative releases under her belt already, Aeres is set to release her debut solo EP this spring.

Formerly 'Dee' from Perempay N' Dee, DaVinChe is one of South London's top beatmakers and one of the early pioneers of UK grime, frequently collaborating with grime producer turned house expert Perempay. After two decades in the business, the pair have refined their afro house sound and carved out their own distinct lane, leading to their Sondela debut 'This Is Not A Game'. Featuring one of Defected's illustrious House Masters, Mr. V, the NYC house legend's signature spoken word passages about 'the drums of the Motherland' stand front and centre over a deep house pulse; 'This Is Not A Game' is truly a sum of its parts, with each artist bringing their best to the electrifying collaboration.

MoBlack convenes with Gran Canarian artist Juan Soul for the label's latest imprint. The duo's 'Mtna' EP features four unique interpretations, starting off with a solid and well-balanced remix by MoBlack himself. Careening 'Mtna's' effusive vocals with impressive basslines, mesmeric beat patterns and permeating electronic touches, this versatile track is sure to rouse a broad array of dancefloors. Up next, South Africa's Da Capo succeeds with a delicately budding rendition that amplifies Mtna's rhythmic poetry through the beauty of progression and resonance. Caiiro takes over the latter half of MBR526, delivering first a bustling remix that gleams with orbicular Afro rhythms, intuitive percussion and winds of celestial riffs. His 'Redemption Remix' wraps up the saga with stunning soundscapes, casting an introspective and nourishing sonic journey through deep pulses, plangent climaxes and transcendent innuendos.

The latest release from Madloch's Sound Avenue finds label stalwart Subnode returning for a new EP. Hailing from Belgium, Subnode has found a way to create a personal universe by exploring electronic sounds, and ultimately finding his own place in the trend-driven state of underground dance music. Whether operating in solo capacity or alongside frequent production partner and Sound Avenue label boss Madloch; Subnode's creative vision would summon praise from a broad spectrum of electronic music tastemakers, in turn leading to a string of superlative releases with a distinctive voice all their own. Although best known for his house and techno releases, Subnode has diversified his portfolio with downtempo compositions, movie scores and a veritable smorgasbord of experimental electronica; all avenue's where he continues to stretch his creative wings. Sound Avenue and label affiliates 3rd Avenue and Crossfade Sounds would become primary homes for Subnode, with the Belgian artist racking up fifty-three discography credits for the three imprints across a five-year stretch.
