After two successful originals with support from Cioz, Floyd Lavine, Fairchild, Marsh, STAB Virus, Lady M, Kyle Watson and Strange Loving, Ambious founders MKLY & Sides asked some of the local scene's most prolific artists for their own interpretation of either one of the tracks. 'Avi Subban kicks things off with a fresh perspective on Dxgma, stripping the multi-faceted original down to it's core before building it back up with bounce, swing and some isolated, organic percussion. With another rendition of the same track, Deep Aztec wastes no time taking us as deep as the original did. An offbeat kick sequence, raw signal-synth melody and real-hand claps - just another example of his constant battle against the status quo. Third on the list, Cadenza turns the entire EP on its head with an uplifting, progressive take on Konvoy - one that oozes emotion. DR. 1MORE follows this up with a solid dose of groovy baseline stabs that make their way through the track. Accompany this with some ambient tones and you've got the perfect dance floor opener. Closing out the EP with another remix of Konvoy, HouseHold Funk layers a dark, sustained baseline with natural keys and strings, leaving us with wide open spaces and a beautiful play on the original's melody.'

Freerange welcome another newcomer to the label. Hailing from Cape Town, South Africa, Dwson is starting to make major waves in his homeland as well as internationally.  As a producer, Dwson is responsible for some of the deepest, speaker shaking slo-mo house on one of SA’s leading imprints Stay True Sounds as well as Germany’s Get Physical and the impact of his track Luna helped push him further into the limelight and onto the radar of Jimpster leading to the duo playing together at a Freerange event in Cape Town.  As a DJ he is now in high demand domestically playing regular club and festival dates including Cape Town Electronic Music Festival and Redbull Music Festival in Johannesburg.

Kicking off the release we have Bermuda, a track which lures you in with
it’s understated, simple minimal beats and warm bassline.  But don’t be
fooled, this is a beast that grows into something far more powerful and
dramatic as it patiently unfolds. Before we know it Dwson has unleashed a fizzing, subsonic lead line which builds through the drop bringing some serious drama to the party.

Isolation comes next, a classic slice of South African deep house if ever
there was one.  Dwson is a master of this style and knows exactly how to
maximise the impact of each element as it oozes like honey from the sound system.

Choosing a remix for this project was an easy one for us.  When listening
to the Dwson originals we’re reminded of the early releases of Manuel Tur in the mid 00’s and thought it would be interesting to hear how he would flip a remix thirteen or so years on.  We’re happy to say MT absolutely nailed it and has created an epic, dubby workout which calls to mind early Wave Music with its rolling bassline, immersive pads and percussive groove.  The addition of a new vocal part adds icing on this already delicious and wholesome cake.

@just-move-records (JMR) is an Independent record label, pushing out the niche, deeper sounds of House Music for just over 8 years. Co-founded by Mig Madiq & Nuno Estevez, childhood neighbours from Johannesburg, South Africa.

Their latest offering is due 10 July and presents another moving collaboration by Thorne Miller & Chris Sen.

"Like Honey" features smooth, smoky vocals from Knoxville Tennessee singer and songwriter, Candace Bellamy. The original vocal was released on the singer's debut album, "In My Lane" back in 2013. Now it’s back with a clear cut 4/4 Deep House groove to accompany it. 

"Like Honey" will be released worldwide on 10 July via all online stores and streaming sites.
