Marsh is back on Anjunadeep with the last EP of this trilogy series. ‘Calling’ features four brand new offerings from the American-based UK-native DJ & producer, from the club-oriented ‘Calling’ and ‘Pretty Eyes’ to the breaks-influenced ‘Love’ and the melodic & uplifting ‘Free’.

2021 has seen Marsh release on Joris Voorn’s label Spectrum, remix the likes of Eli & Fur and Dosem, and receive support from BBC Radio 1, SiriusXM Chill and Kiss FM to name a few.

You can catch Marsh on the on the Anjunadeep On Rotation North-American tour and at Printworks for Anjunadeep’s London showcase on December 11th.

Eli & Fur close out this year with a celebratory nine-track collection of reworks of the original material released on their first studio LP, “Found In The Wild”.

The duo have brought together a hand-selected eclectic mix of friends and peers to reinterpret their “Found In The Wild” project, each artist stepping up to the plate to lend new context to their standout track of choice, re-presented in a new light for extensive dancefloor use.

The first drop from the remix album came courtesy of Anjunadeep mainstay Marsh, who has already garnered BBC Radio 1 support from Danny Howard with his rework of the sensual and otherworldly, “Wild Skies” which glistens in cooperation with the girls’ textured sound palette laid down in the original.

Along with stellar cuts from acclaimed producers, Fur Coat, Ben Yang, Polar Inc and MOLØ, Eli & Fur have also included their own special club mix of “Come Back Around”, a fan favourite and standout moment broadcast earlier this summer in the girls’ cinematic performance film, “Found In the Wild Live”.

Eli & Fur’s club mix sits alongside a dark and brooding interpretation of “Come Back Around” from long-time close friend and scene affiliate Maya Jane Coles. Fresh off the back of releasing her new album “Night Creature”, Maya has previously remixed for Gorillaz and Massive Attack. The machinelike precision of her drum programming chugs throughout the mix with a steampunk hiss, leading listeners down a hypnotic trail of industrial synths and ethereal vocal manipulation.

South-African native THEMBA bursts into action with a no-holds-barred percussive workout, shifting the laid-back aura of “Walk The Line” into an organically evolving menagerie of traditional drum splashes. An important figurehead for the South African electronic music scene and recently named ambassador for the Bridges For Music Charity, THEMBA draws on his trademark sound forged from his African roots which unfolds fluidly through the energy-charged percussion of the girls’ original album track.

Internationally renowned for her dreamy soundscapes and hypnotic rhythms, Italian born and classically trained Francesca Lombardo provides a gorgeous contribution to the compilation with her take on “In Too Deep”. Lombardo delivers a slow-burning and delicately balanced reformation - a swirling, space-age quality has listeners ensnared into a trance-like stasis, fighting the urge to sway in time with the vocal accompaniment as it glides through the arrangement.

February is the second month of the year of our Gregorian calendar of modern times. It is the shortest month of the year with only 28 days in common years and 29 days in leap years.
The old Roman calendar considered the winter season as a period without months and the year had only 10 months. The month of February was added, with the month of January, to about 700 BCE, so that the calendar reflects a standard lunar year of 355 days. February became the second month of the year around 450 BC, although this is the beginning of the last month of the year.

February was shortened to 23 or 24 days at certain intervals of the Roman calendar and a 27-day leap month was inserted after February to realign the year over the seasons. As part of the Julian calendar reform, the intercalary month was abolished and every four years it was declared a leap year. A twenty-ninth day was added in February.

Now as the year comes to a close, with our dancing shoes gathering a bit of dust, we look to the new year for hope and the possibility of physically coming together in the name of music once again. In the meantime, our eyes and ears have been peeled for new sounds and rising stars. Taking center stage for this Foxcast, we present @Budakid, an upcoming talent that is making waves out of the Netherlands with an enviable release catalog. Providing us with a beautifully mellow yet uplifting mix that eases the senses and the mind, Budakid helps us smoothly navigate out of the turbulence of 2020 and into a new era.

Effervescent at times, moodier at others, this Foxcast encompasses the qualities and sentiments that Melodic House fans love most – elation, morale-boosting, the inclination to dance, darker musical twists that always return to melodic sounds, providing a euphoric elevation of the mind. One cannot help the cliché of throwing their hands in the air - even older jaded stalwarts of the dance floor have no shame in admitting so. It is quite evident that Melodic House greats like Guy J and Sasha have an intrinsic influence on Budakid’s production style and musical tastes in this carefully crafted Foxcast, which also features tracks by the likes of Joseph Ashworth, Deetron, Frankey & Sandrino, and Shiffer.

Budakid’s beginnings may not have been very different from other DJs, however, it is his music and proficiency at production that sets him apart. With sixteen releases in 2020 alone on a myriad of well-respected labels such as Anjunadeep, Armada Music, Diynamic, Exploited, Last Night on Earth, Lost & Found, and Einmusika Recordings (label of Cityfox regular Einmusik), his talent is hard to ignore. With a residency in Utrecht and gigs in 22 countries – not to mention one on the Great Wall of China - already under his belt, Budakid has become a mainstay, especially in the Melodic House realm.

What I found and somewhat already knew,  ...of where HOUSE MUSIC STARTED & How it had gotten its name.  
As Per the above source;
The Warehouse (or the “House”) was a nightclub established in Chicago, Illinois in 1977 under the direction of Robert Williams. It is today most famous for being what many consider to be the birthplace “house music” under its first musical director,The Legendary  DJ Frankie Knuckles.

     But the Re-Birth of House Music includes all of US, those who craft and create their own individual experiences and form their own identity and lane (genre) in the evolution of House Music. For these visionaries I am grateful..Chicago, New York, Berlin, London, Ibiza, Tulum, South Africa & BEYOND, our global community who have come to heed the Call of the Drums ....We came for the Drums, but in them We found house +music+ LOVE
