An EP which takes you out of the state of boredom and brings you to the dance-floor. The lead track is a beautiful trip, paying tribute to the French poet Charles Baudelaire and his book of poems 'Les Fleurs du mal ' with magical vocals by the French Artist Daniel Mesguich. Multiverse is an emotional melodic indie-breaks exploration that offers energizing kicks with optimistic & somehow dreamy synths.

On remix duties Dario Dea and Martin Deno deliver two compelling takes on the original tracks. Dario Dea's take on Boredom is a signature expression of his sound. Pulsating and catchy bass-line with playful synths evolve into a melodic peak-time indie explosion resulting in a truly exuberant remix. Martin Deno's remix of Multiverse is a darker exploration of raw and hypnotic techno filled with mysterious percussions and drums accompanying the emotional synth lead of the original track.'

Avidus is back on Hommage with their single ‘Dunes’ including remixes from Jesse Trinidad and Oberheimer. The duo, AKA Marc Wolf and Fritz Wagner, hail from Kiel in Germany and bring very different but complementary influences to the project. Marc is a DJ and self-taught drummer and guitar player, while Fritz is committed to music theory and composition. Their distinctive productions have already caught the attention of label bosses at Afterlife and Crosstown Rebels. With previous gems for Exploited Ghetto including ‘Hibiskuss’ and ‘Masada’, Berlin’s Marcus Meinhardt became an integral part of the label family. His melodic techno style always finds the balance between groove and melody, and he can usually be found behind the decks in any of his hometown’s favoured tech-centric dancing establishments. ‘El Paso’ is his latest weapon: a sleek, no-nonsense dancefloor cut which gets the job done very nicely indeed.
This track is alive from the very first note, throbbing and pulsating hypnotically with a tribal rhythm and thick chunks of bass accentuating the percussive groove. The trademark Meinhardt synth magic swells and teases, rising like a giant wave to help introduce new parts of the track. When the claps finally drop in, the impact is felt heavily, and the track keeps building as layer upon layer of mesmerising synth energy is added. The tension increases as we drop back to a kick and bass groove, those dazzling melodic elements teasing and disorienting vocal delays plunging is further into the deep abyss. From near silence, the track rebuilds itself like a sleeping beast waking from slumber, propelling us back to that meaty groove.
It’s what you might call a ‘mood track’: one that never explodes ostentatiously, but instead provides you with a slice of drama to use as a powerful building block within a greater narrative.

9th release “Arnika’s Way” comes from debut artist Jesse Trinidad. His 1st release comes in the form of a four track EP consisting of two melancholy & contemplative originals accompanied by two alternative remixes by none other than the production wizard Aera & Metrica’s head honcho Miguel Payda.

“Arnika’s Way” is the introductory track to the EP. Organic drums & percussion drive the track nestled between delicate synth lines & swells. Reserved & stripped back, Arnikas Way slowly entices the listener with its contemporary atmosphere and infectious melody. Trinidad’s essence is glittered throughout, born between the modernity of Europe & the classicism of Andalusia & North Africa.

Aera graced “Arnika” with a complete dance floor makeover. As expected his definitive style & elegance are prominent in his remix. A pacey & progressive journey leading the listener up to a tension building wormhole. The eminent artists remix stays true to the original keeping its main characteristics & driving force.

Miguel Payda’s version teases the listener by unraveling the inner workings of “Arnika” in a ritual manner. Combining the addition of ceremonial percussion & arrangements of the main lead showing “Arnika” the protagonist in a different light.

The Last Dance & coincidentally the last track of the Ep showcases Trinidad’s world of emotion & wonder. A romantic yet conflicting sentiment underlays throughout the track. A gentle symbiosis between the organic & electronic. A soft and steady arp propels the journey layered with bamboo hits and cosmic strings.

With support from Dixon, Trikk, Innellea & many more. The EP speaks for itself. A young fresh debut artist & a great addition to the label.
