This sophisticated deep house/Nu Disco track, featuring male vocals, showcases soulful vocal delivery complemented by a prominent bass line, disco-infused rhythm guitar riffs, recurring funky trumpet accents, and a soulful Rhodes piano solo.

This time we invited a talented duo from London (UK), they're Techník.
Techník, have gained a reputation for delivering sets that take you on a journey through time and space, and with their love towards ethereal sounds, the London-based duo have rightly labelled their style as 'desert music'. During their sets, they aim to create an experience that not only puts a smile on people's faces, but also stirs emotion, music that really touches people on another level.

They're also co-founders of Everything Will Be OK (http://www.youtube.com/ewbotube) - a brand that prides itself in discovering new music from all corners of the world, as well as hosting parties filled with meticulously chosen decor and deep, hypnotic music. Their unique sound has seen them support Jonas Rathsman during his ELEMENTS London tour, and also play at some of the world's most iconic venues including Ministry of Sound, Amnesia Ibiza, Mambo Ibiza and XOYO and played huge sets for Deep House Bucharest, FRITZ KALKBRENNER & friends. With various releases in the works, 2018 looks like it's going to be a busy year for the UK duo!

Unser heutiger Gast auf KataHaifisch ist der leidenschaftliche DJ und Produzent BOHO. Dieser in Köln beheimatete Musikschaffende, ist Gründer und CEO des Labels Jannowitz Records und hatte ebenfalls bei der Gründung von Jaw Dropping Records seine fleißigen Finger im Spiel. 

BOHO ist sowohl ein Vertreter als auch Verfechter der Vielfältigkeit und des Facettenreichtums der elektronischen Musik. Jedes Subgenre hat für ihn seinen ganz eigenen Reiz und Charme, dies spiegelt sich auch in seinen Podcasts wieder. Bei Live-Auftritten präferiert BOHO lange Sets, vorzugsweise All Night long Club Nächte, mit ihm an den Decks. Auf seinem Weg als gefragter DJ, hat BOHO schon viele Clubs in Deutschland und im Ausland bespielt. Ob im Sisyphos, der Renate oder im Heinz Gaul der Heimatstadt, die Crowd feiert ihn und seine Musik. Seine musikalischen Werke veröffentlichte er auf Ballroom, Phobos, Time Has Changed Records und vielen weiteren Plattenfirmen. Auch in Zukunft erwartet uns so mancher Kopfnicker und der ein oder andere "Tänzchenstimulator" von BOHO.

Already making serious waves with productions on labels like Rebellion, Crosstown Rebels, Saved and Bedrock @alex-kennon-dj has always been surrounded by great music. As a child, he was classically trained on the Spanish guitar and was, by his own admission, “really good!” Playing for ten years, it not only made Alex focused, it also allowed him to be disciplined because he would play at least two hours a day. Alex was inspired by powerful songs from The Eagles and Led Zeppelin alike. Similarly, the influence of Alex’s father cannot be ignored, not only was his Dad a fan of classic American and English rock bands, he was also introduced to sounds of the era: from Phil Collins and Depeche Mode to Massive Attack. But the biggest influence from his father was soul. “His first love was Earth, Wind and Fire, funk groups with fifteen elements!” Alex also breathed in fumes from his father’s vinyl collection, which was mainly English rock and new wave. It’s a collection he still has today. “I have a lot of vinyl,” he smiles. “My father used to travel and work with military pilots and would bring records back home. For example, he brought back ‘Disintegration’ [by The Cure] and it was my first electronic love. It shook my brain with music and image.”
That emotional, powerful music soon lead him to the house and techno he lives and breathes today: thanks in part to his father’s funk and also down to his own passion for New York and Detroit scenes. Soon, Alex was presenting a show in his own hometown. “As well as Laurent Garnier, I was a lover of New York music and also Detroit, I loved records with acid sounds inside. This is when I discovered Giorgio Moroder.” Alex’s father told him Giorgio was an Italian who was one of the best producers of the 70s, “which is why I admire him. But I also think everybody is a fan of him!”
And it’s that same Morodor-ish passion that drives Alex Kennon now. Having played at some of the best clubs in Ibiza where he lives (from Ushuaia and Pacha to Destino and Privilege) and like a real globetrotter all around the world, this year Alex’s key releases will see him take everything to a whole new level. And not just in Ibiza, but at festivals across Europe and into America and across Brazil. So far, his productions have been supported by Nic Fanciulli, Kölsch, Solomun, Steve Lawler, Damian Lazarus, Matthias Tanzmann and Tale of Us alike. He’s also been picked up as a producer to watch by Mixmag, who gave Alex’s Crosstown remix of ‘Lay Your Weapons Down’ by Raw District & Fabrice Lig a premiere midway through March, ahead of Alex’s debut for Damian Lazarus’s infamous Get Lost party. A release for Lazarus on Rebellion with Pirupa called ‘Vision’ will also be everywhere by the time you read this. Finally, we have to mention Alex’s Best Breakthrough win at the 2018 DJ Awards in Ibiza: it was an important acknowledgement from the DJ community, and Alex won in a room alongside superstar winners like Jamie Jones, Adam Beyer and Sven Vath. As for Alex’s sound, that Crosstown Rebels remix really points the way: Alex likes vocals and he likes the sweet spot between house and techno. Not too hard, always groovy. “Between house and techno,’ he nods. “I like the groove. Sometimes I take the risk, we are not like robots. I never prepare a DJ set, I try to build a DJ set in the moment. Every DJ needs to do that. I always say you should have fun with the crowd.”

"Døc is a musical project by Irish DJ and producer Darren Doherty. A well established name on the Irish clubbing scene, Døc’s first real experience of dance music happened after he snuck into a nightclub at the tender age of fifteen, instantly falling in love with the tunes, atmosphere and vibes, Doherty promised himself that one day he would return to the club, Privilege, Longford, as a DJ. He then devoted himself to achieving that goal and eventually enjoyed a very successful residency there.

With over twenty year’s worth of experience behind the decks, it’s safe to say that Døc is an artist who has truly mastered his craft. Based in Sligo, the home to clubbing in the west of Ireland, Døc has been controlling crowds in the region with his genre hopping brand of deep, progressive and techy basslines for well over a decade, never failing to lift the energy in a room and create an atmosphere that keeps people coming back and begging for more. Having played in many of Ireland’s biggest and most popular venues, Døc has played a number of international shows, most notably at the Warehouse Project London, Sankeys Ibiza, Eden Ibiza and HI Ibiza, supporting the likes of Danny Howells, Clive Henry and Alex Arnout in the process.

Døc is also an extremely accomplished producer, having been making his own original productions for the last eight year. He has a string of successful releases behind him, both as part of the Døc project and under other aliases. He has had a number of tracks signed to Suro Recordings including his collaboration with Marc de Pulse on the track Birthing Star, released in September 2017. Døc’s music has received support from some real heavy hitters in the industry, including Nick Warren, one of the world’s best known progressive DJs.

Døc currently holds a number of local and international residencies, including slots at Spiral Tree, Longford and appearances with Circle Experience in London and Ibiza. He also often plays guest slots with some of Ireland’s leading club brands in venues up and down the country. With a regular podcast series, Døc-Cast and Døc's Picks, which now has over twenty episodes, it is evident that Doherty is one of the hardest working DJs currently on the Irish scene, and one that is set to be here for many years to come."

After starting out as a DJ in Leeds, UK, @tina-v has played in clubs, festivals and underground parties. She soon got into production, and has had a string of releases on labels like Night Light Records, Stick, In’deep’n’dance, Dynamo, Definitive, and many more. Gaining support from many of the big players in the scene, Tina’s music has made it onto the BBC Radio 1 Essential mix, and been charted and played by DJs like Richie Hawtin and Bart Skils.

Her groovy take on techno has brought her all around Europe, with gigs in cities like London, Barcelona and Berlin. Besides playing in top clubs in Scandinavia such as The Villa, Jaeger and Culture Box, she currently runs the night “Kinetics” - booking both local and international DJs with her partner Plain Jane.
