There is no one genre or style to classify the many achievements of Kevin Yost. Ever since picking up drumsticks at the age of four, Kevin has been obsessed with creating and performing music. DJ, producer, film composer, drummer...he has consistently thrived and evolved by indulging his passion. In the mid 80s, at the age of eleven, Kevin discovered his life's mistresses: DJing and house music. He spent the next few years fostering his deep jazzy house style, and in 1998 he broke through with his first album, One Starry Night, which has the distinct honor of being considered a deep house classic. With close to 100 single releases, 8 albums and many mix cd's over the years since, Kevin has earned his reputation as an artist who has no desire to stop creating music and pushing forward. The audience is invited into the private world of Kevin Yost, and given an experience that he has spent his life captivated with, that sacred moment when inspiration manifests into a tangible reality and music is breathed to life. As personal and creative Kevin’s DJ sets can be, his "Live & Improvised" shows are spellbinding to watch as the audible vision flows from him into music and then into the hearts of the crowd.

On We’ll Be Together a unifying atmosphere is created with intense energy as intricate melodies weave in and out of an introspective vocal, locked to the groove. Blue Lagoon is a glorious subaquatic soundscape crafted by Ae:ther’s trademark celestial synths and taut percussion. Disco Halal boss Moscoman brings his unpredictable and alternative style to the first remix of We’ll Be Together with retro keys and dreamy pads. Finally, Francesco Mami turns in an uplifting house rework, adding infectious rhythm that will work wonders on the dance floor.

Born and raised in Rome, with German DNA, Ae:ther is an artist who has established his pedigree as a formidable producer and selector. Following six years in London maturing as an artist, producing at Fortress Studios in Old Street and befriending neighbours such as Bicep, he moved to Berlin. Joining like-minded collaborators Mind Against and Tale of Us, Ae:ther immersed himself in the City's scene. After releasing dazzling EPs on Afterlife, his sound of deep emotion and expert audio design came to the attention of Crosstown Rebels boss Damian Lazarus, who signed the debut album Me unequivocally. At the birth of electronic music, its visionary pioneers wanted to soundtrack the future, now that future is here it’s artists like Ae:ther who take up the mantle and guide us into the unknown.

Greg Gow has been steadily building a formidable reputation as one of Canada’s greatest musical exports in recent years. 
From his base in Toronto, Gow skillfully intertwines the unmistakable sound of Detroit with the flavours of his hometown, creating heady, intoxicating results. 
Here with Base Jumping on Poker Flat Recordings, Gow provides a strong reminder of why he’s held in such high regard. 
Base Jumping (Free Fall Mix) is a slick deep cut, drawing on elements of dub and minimal techno for its inspiration. 
Lost Chords is a more upfront reckoning, firmly planting its flag in the ravey, tech house camp. A thick analog bassline makes it way through the track, adding a groovy swing to proceedings.

The electronic musician and Poker Flat founder’s contemplative new stu-dio album takes in minimal house music, moody techno and effervescent breaks across 11 unique tracks. 

Acclaimed producer, DJ, label owner and musical pioneer Steve Bug’s influence on the musical landscape is, at this stage in his career, well documented. With roots in Germany’s legendary club scene and fans around the world thanks to his enviable catalogue of releases, the influence of his label Poker Flat, and his famously exemplary DJ sets, Steve is a singular artist with a lucid and passionate approach to his craft. 

His previous LP Paradise Sold alongside Langenberg was released in 2018 to critical acclaim, and described as “elegantly euphoric” by Mixmag. Never Ending Winding Roads is an entirely solo release however, with much of it produced during the months of enforced isolation due to the coronavirus pandemic. Many of the track titles reflect Steve’s headspace during this time, with themes of solitude, contemplation and reflection brought to the fore perhaps more than with any of his previous work. 

Steve’s formative musical years were spent during Germany’s techno and acid house heyday, with his love for a perfect groove as apparent now as it was back then. His DJ skills and a keen, innovative ear led him not down the typical path of the early nineties trance and harder dance scene, but instead towards a fresher, hybrid sound–merging stripped deep house, tweaked out acid and more minimal forms of techno and electronic music: a strand of music he fiercely champions to this day. 

Steve Bug: “My mindset when making Never Ending Winding Roads was completely different to any other project I have embarked on. I didn’t have to tour, and instead could focus 100% on writing music without having the dancefloor as a constant influence. This allowed me creative freedom to explore a range of styles and emotions, and as a result, it is the album I feel most satisfied with to date”.
With 11 brand new tracks, Never Ending Winding Roads is a meticulously produced and deeply engaging electronic album; one that explores various shades of house, techno and broken beat with Steve’s celebrated attention to detail and consummate originality. 
Album opener Lucid Loops perfectly sets the tone, immediately ensnaring you with a hypnotic, undulating synth line and a faintly menacing undertone thanks to hushed, discordant strings and unnerving vocal stabs. This atmosphere of quiet paranoia permeates many of the tracks on Never Ending Winding Roads, most explicitly in the sinewy groove and sketchy, panic-inducing synth line of Locked Away In My Head. 

This album more than perhaps any other in his career sees Steve experi- menting with broken beats, to incredible effect. Tracks like A Conscious Machine and Electro Harmonix are melodic, emotionally rich cuts: burst of radiant optimism that juxtapose beautifully with the album’s darker moments. 
Elsewhere tracks like Yellow Snake find Steve exploring deep, dubby territory, while album closer Upon Mountains is a cosmic, arpeggiated masterpiece: an 8bit computer game soundtrack reimagined as a poignant electro ballad.
