宀 records proudly presents the new EP ‘Apollo’ by the duo from Washington DC, Rush Plus. The title track offers up heady, cerebral, celestial techno. Ready to kick up dust and initialize the dance floor French producer Amor Saytr provides a rambunctious, bass heavy twist to ‘Apollo’.
 
Flip it around and turn it you get ‘Flexibility’, a track that at first builds a minimal thread of tension between rhythm and sound that widens and relaxes to open up a projection of night skies eager to part so daylight can break. ‘Orange Turbo (feat. Gordon)’ injects charged, syncopated static into bodies to accentuate an angular degree of posture to move the collective’s sensations toward a euphoric climax.
 
The tracks all combined exerts focus and mindfulness for the dancefloor. Apollo is a summoning of forces ready to conjure an electrifying, ecstatic experience.

Hi! My name is Nina, and I'm a 21 year old DJ residing in Naarm, originally from Meanjin. I started mixing last year and have begun embarking on a quest to find my sound both through track selection and more recently, producing. Growing up, my parents had a disgustingly large vinyl collection and introduced me to electronic music probably before I could walk. My inspiration stems from the first time I heard songs by artists like Moby, Groove Armada and Everything But The Girl when I was young (this latest mix actually includes one of my favourite tracks from Everything But The Girl - Five Fathoms). I find a lot of my mixes now incorporate some 90s and early 2000s flavour, which is very much an ode to the speakers in my childhood home. On top of that, I love to incorporate songs that remind me of the beach and forests; my love affair with nature is something pretty serious. 

An honourable mention to my favourite deep house track - Vacuum Boogie by Floating Points (I actually have a tramp stamp of the EP cover - fun fact). 

While I am at the beginning of my DJing journey, mixing and producing have been so rewarding for my soul and I cannot wait to continue! :)

Born in San Francisco and raised in New York, @dominique-shaw-344973310 musical journey was initially inspired by the deep bass of hood rap and the powerful vibes of Trap music at a San Francisco party. Her musical exploration deepened amidst NYC's dynamic queer nightlife, where she discovered electronic dance music, house, and techno at iconic venues like Ghetto Gothic and Holy Mountain. Dominique learned DJing from a friend and began her career at Happyfun Hideaway, swiftly transitioning from an open-format style to specializing in Deep House and Techno.

Dominique has made a name for herself by performing at renowned spots such as the Ace Hotel and The Carry Nation. She aims to enrich the deep house scene by producing tracks that are infused with 'main character' energy and the textured beats she adores. For DJ Dominique, dance music and the community it fosters embody every facet of her identity: the rebel, the dreamer, and the artist.
