Pale Penguin is one of the key figures in Greek electronic scene. Based in Thessaloniki, Greece, he’s been djing for almost 25 years now. Since early 2007, he has launched and manages V.I.M. (Very Important Music) Records, releasing quality Breaks, Tech-House, Electronica singles and albums by many International and Greek artists. In the beginning of 2011 he has started the Afrotropical parties/events DISCOTECA INTERNACIONAL with great success till today, while together with Stama (ERASE RECORDS owner) he has launched DIABLO LOCO RECORDS, a label inspired by traditional Mexican wrestling and the famous Luchadores, specialized in top quality Tech-Breaks/Tech-Funk releases. At the beginning of 2013 he has launched another quality label
called DEEP GARNET RECORDS, a label focusing on the deeper side of
Breaks with Deep and Futuristic breaks monthly releases and in 2014 he
launched the Booty-Breaks label FANTOMAS RECORDS focused mainly on the Booty-Bass sound! In the beginning of 2015 together with Larry SKG and Forgivmi launched the highly successful Electronic Afrotropical label SHANGO RECORDS. Maricha is a talented DJ and performer who was born in Siberia (Russia) and currently resides in Ibiza.

For the 10th issue at Alpha Black, we receive Cuprite. Coming off a beautiful remix in the last release, he comes back with his own "Sababa" EP, with Naeiiv, Martin Kremser, and Marcus Sur on the remixes. 

The first remix comes by the hands of Naeiiv. The rework gives the track a twist from funkier vibes, to a darker, harder rythm. Hard kick driving an ever evolving arp into the progessive, but hard track, that only relaxes momentarily with a small breakdown, only to comeback harder. First EP “Matala” was released soon by one of the biggest labels in the genre – “Pipe & Pochet” from Santa Monica, California.
Remixing the track by “NHII – The Secret Drums of Bwiti”, released from American “Cosmic Awakenings”, Turu was able to reach the top 20 in Electronica / Downtempo chart by “Beatport”.
Upcoming tune “Turu Anasi – “Meditation” was included in a series of podcasts by “Goldcap” from Los Angeles in “Lemurian” guest mix.

Born and raised in Guanajuato, México, has been living for the past 9 years in Oslo, Norway. Having spent most of his childhood in the mountain hills of the Mexican "bajío" with his indigenous ancestors brought big influence to his life. Pre-hispanic, folkloric, Latin-American, tribal and shamanic sounds conform an essential part of his musical exploration. This is for him, a way to keep his roots alive. Saul introduces complex sets, giving as result a multi-cultural sounds journey which appears to transport you to ancient rituals, always by the hand, naturally, of powerful and hypnotic basslines. Oslo has welcomed him with open arms and he's now earned the city's nightlife respect due to his consistent work. With his international debut show at iconic party Woomoon Ibiza, he's proven his talent goes beyond borders and it's ready to turn the dancefloor into the party everyone wishes to experience.

◖Ethno Moon◗ Ep 017 ◐Saul Sanchez◑

Luca Cataldo (Ka:lu) is a multidisciplinary artist that focuses his works on audiovisual installation, big projections, vjing, music production and djing. In addition, he is the co-founder of the Italian organic, ethnic and Downtempo label Hupupa Record and an Italian visual label Antica Proietteria specialized on the use of lights and projections in site-specific contexts. 

His journey into music starts at age 15 when he got the famous technics 1200; in 1999 he moves in Rome where he enters the Drum and Bass underground scene, getting involved in the italian bass culture for years jumping from a dj to a vj consolle; during this time he also keep exploring audiovisuals languages and electronic music production having the chance to perform in many parties, festivals and events in Italy and at international level too (Holland, Germany, Spain, Canaries, England, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Norway and Iran).

Moving from the city to the green hills in the center Italy, after some years of being off from music, he returns back on djing and production looking for different sounds such as deep techno, downtempo, dubtech, slowtech, ethno, tropical, meditative, multicultural.

Through music he always expresses his beliefs, converting them into sounds. His productions & sets manage to deliver a meaningful story full of aesthetics & emotions, providing immersive experiences for heterogeneous audiences.
