Following our very well received “Friends” series we are happy to introduce our new collection series “Selected Cuts”. Focussing on new talents also as on excellent producers you might not having on the radar yet. And we were digging deep to bring you new perpectives of deep house and deep techno. Soulful as you are used to hear from JEUDI Rec. A start over. A new series which starts as promising as it could ever start.

Gellert - Blue Jersey
Gellert, a very young promising talent from the north of Germany is coming with this kind of tunes that are lifting you up to another feel level. The perfect transition from cosy to it’s getting serious now. The frst time hearing Blue Jersey will create so many good inner Yeahs, so there is no chance not to press play again.

Florian Kruse - Broken Mirror feat. Hendrik Burkhard
Florian Kruse is known from his project Kruse & Nuernberg. Doing his solo part now opened a totally new book. His music has so much space to express sensitivity without losing the focus on the dancefoor. Broken Mirror is as emotional as demanding.

Moritz Hofbauer - In Between
Moritz Hofbauer is debuting his music career by the age of 17, stufed with energy and knowledge. We were rubbing our ears in disbelief when we heard his sleek productions. Emotional, deep and driving. You will love this.

Lake Avalon & Rancido - Interstellar
Interstellar is rounding up our frst selection in perfect manners. It’s having the dreamish vibe we already loved of Rancido’s release “The Journey” on Innervisions. Amsterdam born Lake Avalon and Rotterdams Rancido bringing us the best melancholic tune for the winter times.

Durch seinen Freundeskreis hatte @franandco schon in seiner frühen Jugend viele Kontakte zu orientalischer, insbesondere persischer Popmusik. „Außergewöhnliche Klänge mochte ich schon immer“, gesteht der Musiker. Nun hat er einen neuen Track produziert: „Shah Parvaz“. In den ersten Teilen der Nummer hört man ein Kanun und gegen Ende die orientalische Flöte Nay. (...) Das Stück „Shah Parvaz“ kommt mit einer gediegenen Bassline daher. Kurz nach einem intensiven Break folgen die hypnotischen Vocals. Eine fesselnde Synth-Sequenz begleitet den Track und orientalische Flötensounds runden das ganze ab. (...)

Get Physical’s non-stop release schedule turns to melodic and prog house master Theo Meier, with a standout remix from Sobek.

Austrian artist Meier runs his own Weltn Audio label and from his base in Vienna has perfected a rich, evocative sound that is laden with melody. He’s also released on the likes of Einmusika and Poesie Musik and this fresh EP marks his debut on Get Physical.

Excellent opener ‘Walker’ is a mellifluous cut with deep drum patterns making for a superb loose beat. Dubby chords and lush pads add cosmic vibes and ensure your mind wanders to the stars.

Then comes the fantastic ‘Lommel’, a more late-night cut with mysterious synth sounds and glowing chords paired with punchy, spritely drums. It’s a stellar house track filled with real charm.

Closing out another fine EP is a remix from Sobek. The Budapest artist has a widescreen style that ranges from drum & bass to minimal as well as drawingon the folk traditions of his homeland. His creeping version slowly sweeps you up with deep chord vamps and whisky synth motifs that are superbly seductive.

Once again Get Physical have unearthed a fine talent who serves up sumptuous house sounds.
