Sync on or off?
"I learned DJing by playing vinyl, so for me it’s part of my workflow to sync by myself and it brings fun. But I don't judge anyone for using sync, if they can energize the crowd maybe even a little more because of the time saved."

Favorite release at the moment & of all times?
"There are too many to list, but some, which coming to my mind now, are “Loreley” by Kölsch and “The Rapture” by &Me. They are great and part of my classical repertoire since years.
At the moment “Introspection” by Several Definitions is a great collection of their latest releases, and also “Symbiosis” by Brigado Crew on Stil vor Talent. And I love “Smile” by the great Aaaron."

What do you do to get into a creative state?
"Often, I only have to listen to music I love, not necessarily electronic music (but most of the time) and go outside in the late evening, feel last sun's heat and drifting into the night with new ideas. Then I have to run into my studio and dump it out of my brain. And sometimes beer also helps a little ;)"

Daniel Reifenberg is like the sun and the moon: a harmonic interaction. The passionate DJ is since 1991 into Electronic Beats and in the mid 90s he set to music one party after the other. His genres are so full like the book diversity in the state library of Berlin. He takes his listeners on a journey in electronic music landscapes full of adventures and variety between gently sounds and wild party music for the crowd. Who wants thier audience to shake their asses and dance off should order Daniel Reifenberg behind the decks. The nature lover make it that his listeners stay in a atmosphere while moving their hips in the same time. The DJ-enthusiast is not just playing track by track. He tells much more sound tales, which remain in the body and the mind. The red thread from the first tone until the last beat make his sessions unforgettable.

Daniel Reifenberg produces with his best friend Silvio aka Sepsi-TT music since 2014. Next to tracks and a live band project they shape individual club nights, enthusiastic partys and transform open air locations to a inspiring music happening. Their current project called FreLab unites studio, video and artist meeting point in one setting. Artists, DJs and newcomer from the electronic milieu come together and share their passion for music. Friends and artists who joining this heart project are Max Lindemann, Fuxia, Ascon Bates, the collective Insel der Visionen, the crew of the Leipziger Club Brotfabrik and the Club Trafo.

ER020 - Ellum Radio by Maceo Plex - Citizen Kain Guest Mix

Philipp Kempnich wuchs im schönen Andernach am Rhein auf. Nach einer kleinen Zwischenstation in Kölle ging es dann 2013 nach Berlin, wo er bis heute lebt. Den größten musikalischen Einfluss hatte, wie kaum anders zu erwarten, die elektronische Musik auf ihn. Aber auch HipHop und Rock, was er in seiner Jugend viel hörte, beeinflussten ihn. Freundschaft & Liebe, diese beiden so starken und wichtigen Begriffe verbindet Philipp mit Musik! 

Mit elektronischer Musik kam er zum ersten Mal durch Clubbesuche während seiner Schulzeit in Köln in Berührung. Um 2010 herum, fing er dann an aufzulegen, um sich danach mehr oder weniger in Eigenregie das Produzieren beizubringen. Vor gut einem Monat erschien Philipps neuestes Release und zwar auf Marcus Meinhardts Label Heinz Music. Die „Manoa EP“ kommt mit drei Tracks und einem Remix von Anakim daher und ist mit ordentlich viel Melodic-Techno-Wumms versehen – richtig, richtig, gut! Dazu kommen noch zahlreiche Veröffentlichungen auf seinem Stammlabel Einmusika und Nummern auf Labels wie MUKKE, Crossfrontier Audio, Ploetzlich Musik und Save Us Records.

Wie so vielen fällt es auch ihm schwer auf die Frage, was sein bisheriges musikalischen Highlight war, zu antworten, aber sein Gig beim „Festival Calavera No Chilla“ vergangenen Dezember in Argentinien ist für ihn „auf jeden Fall weit oben“. Da Philipp nicht ausschließlich von der Musik  lebt, kam er bisher ganz gut durch die Corona-Pandemie, zumal es im Sommer auch mal den einen oder anderen Rave gab, aber der kommende Winter macht ihm schon mehr Sorgen.

Wir bedanken uns von ganzem Herzen bei Philipp und wünschen euch viel Spaß mit seinem Set.
