On our latest release, we welcome the Paris based musician Joachim Pastor with his stunning EP 'Telfair'. Here, Pastor, who has enjoyed a musical upbringing and has been mentored by Sébastien Léger, presents three playful and emotive tracks, that shine bright with warming melodies and nostalgic soundscapes. While 'Eche' is defined by romantic piano keys and bittersweet vocal loops, 'Hands High' bedazzles with epic strings and a crunchy beat. Lastly, the title track 'Telfair' showcases Pastor's musicality as it marries organic guitars with a piercing synth lead.

Stereoclip’s debut release on Hungry Music “Airplane Lesson” is a gentle yet gloomy techno anthem. The Belgian producer delivers an elegant, hypnotic track, playing with its equilibrium like a gifted conjurer. 

It kicks off on a thoroughly transcendental note, with layers of arpeggiated sounds and distorted leads resembling a masterly crafted piece of modern art. Spring 2018 saw Mexican artist Hot Tuneik debut on Proton Music with "Revival". Now returning to the EP, new remixes from esteemed producers provide a fresh new perspective.

Taking the underground dance scene by storm with his distinctive and highly sought-after sound, Matty Doyle has found considerable success with his Matter pseudonym. Through a combination of "deep synth lines, driving bass and pulsating rhythms", the Australian producer has found his music signed to a host of blue-chip imprints that include Replug, JOOF and Anjunadeep. A regular across Particles and Proton Music, his work for the latter combines stunning collaborative material with fellow countryman, GMJ, in the shape of "Superposition" and "Osmosis", with equally impressive solo work that saw the scintillating "Pronoia" and "We Are Dust" EPs hit the virtual shelves in December 2016 and November 2017. Reworks of Dousk, Biologik and Cristian R have also illustrated Matter's silky production skills as he now returns for a fourth solo outing. Taking on the title track, the essence of Hot TuneiK's original components can be heard within the Matter interpretation of "Revival" as shimmering delayed chords and smooth grooved bassline stand out. Building intelligently with a raft of additional production material, a new bassline progression appears at the mid-point breakdown to supply depth and intrigue while a sumptuous beat and head-shaking groove keep the energy high throughout.

The 'double-headed dragon' that comprises the Lanvary production duo, has seen Alex and Andrew become a major force in the electronic music scene. Diverse musical perspectives have seen the pair delight with a musical recipe that combines elements from progressive and deep house with techno flourishes in a distinct and unique sound. Over a century of production credits can be found next to the Lanvary name since an early debut for Underphunk in late 2010. Going on to see their music featured on Stellar Fountain, Mistique Music and Particles, their work for the latter has found success with a trio of original EPs in 2015's "Micromegas", 2016's "Penumbra" and 2017's "Leviathan". Lanvary's work for Proton Music is centred around the superb "Venus" in December 2017, while a pair of remixes for Matter is now followed by a wonderful reworking of "Memories". Hitting hard with dominant beat and ticking off-beat percussion, a sumptuous bass groove quickly makes its presence felt as the melodic elements of the original resonate through the Lanvary interpretation. The pulsating string motifs from Hot TuneiK's track rise and fall throughout and a host of new production material supply dynamic dance-floor credentials to keep club-goers happy with a seamless blend of rhythm and melody.

Hot TuneiK's "Revival" is complete as new remixes from Matter and Lanvary reinvent and revitalise.

2018 was quite the year for Stripped Recordings! While welcoming a plethora of new talent, the label continued honing its most promising proteges. With work for Nick Warren’s The Soundgarden, Fernando Ferreyra’s Dreamers and Tiësto's legendary “In Search Of Sunrise” comp series, Lucas Rossi reaffirmed that illustrious title. The Argentine makes his original Stripped debut by dealing “Critical Damage” to finish the year strong. Another connoisseur of wispy atmos and fluid melos, Erdi Irmak returns to the label family he’s called home since 2012. Through its swell of emotion, his tenderhearted remix caps a definitive year all-around.

PREMIERE: Jayden Klight - Piri (Original Mix) [Nie Wieder Schlafen]

Opening the month of November, Dzhef debuts on Deersky’s Soundteller Records a new EP. Hailing from Tajikistan but now based in the USA, Dzhef has made considerable strides since first appearing in 2018. Releases for BQ Recordings, RYNTH and Suprematic highlight his discography and have been great landing spots for his organic house sound. Now debuting on Soundteller, Dzhef presents a three track showcase entitled ‘Serenity’.

The title selection leads the release off with a healthy dose of exotic drums and melodious bass lines. Warm and inviting across the first act, the narrative builds through liquid-like effects, haunting vocal pads and hazy harmonics, the latter of which provide a smooth transition into the main break. Colourful and poignant in equal measure, the centrepiece flows through shifty melodic phrases as nature samples add depth leading into a gorgeous final act.

The EP’s midway point finds Dzhef exploring a deeper narrative with ‘Hutu’. From stripped down beginnings comes spiritual atmospheres and rolling rhythms, slowly descending over bulbous beats and clattering drums. As the narrative evolves so too does its pensive appeal, with acidic swells and soulful instrumentation highlighting the seven minute journey.

Rounding out the release and complementing the previous selections are the captivating vibes of ‘Vishnu Mana’. It’s warm beats, perfectly sculpted bass and detailed drums unite for a buoyant rhythmic core. Sleek effects and emotive overlays advance the narrative with an effortless ease, splitting moods between the surreal and soulful, before a cinematic break adds just enough tension to spearhead a groovy finale. It caps off an inspired collection of music from Dzhef, who makes his Soundteller debut in fine style. Highly recommended.
