Niko Schwind and Robbie Akbal team up in Berlin last year during a few studio sessions collaborating with Ay Sarita to wrap a powerful organic anthem called ¨Caminando de Noche¨ filled with mystic elements and driving music .

It was a great tune featured in our 15 years of Akbal Music compilation, that we asked Noraj Cue and Landikhan , some amazing producers at the moment to remix the track.

Noraj Cue from Happy Campers and Tale & Tone delivers a fat groover with shinny melodic elements & epic journey on the breakdown playing nicely with the vocal and some quirky sounds finalizing a great arrangement.

Landikhan from Spain delivers a more mid tempo indie disco ish vibes oriented remix very groovy and full of great sounds that will make some magic all around.
Such a wonderful pair of remixes, we are more than excited to welcome this two hyper talented producers to the Akbal Music family.

The Art Vibes Reworks II project started as a crazy idea during summer 2018 and is only now seeing daylight. If you’re following Art Vibes for a while you may have seen the release of the first edition back in September 2017 including 10 reworks of our early catalogue.

Having grown a diverse catalogue over the last five years, it was inevitable to offer a fresh outlook on the tunes people have danced to in many locations around the globe. Being given the chance to work with respected producers to carry out such a project is humbling in many ways.

Bunte Kuh fly into 2020 with a stunning selection courtesy of Matija & Richard Elcox, presenting their 'Tall Tales Of Unknown Places' EP. Alongside their three originals come a couple of reworks from Umami and Madmotormiquel & Fulltone.

'Knowing New Horizons' is up first as a downtempo marching hypnotic production with wailing vocals reverberating around twinkling melodies and swelling synth pads.'The Last Mountain' ups the energy with pulsing bass lines and more scattered melodic flurries. The last of the original works 'Road To Kalima' is carried by chugging tunes percussion and metallic hitting snares. The top lines adapt throughout, carrying an eerie sense of tension within them.

Madmotormiquel & Fulltone are the first of the remixers with their take on 'The Last Mountain', softening the mood with mellow hits caked in glorious reverb and a rolling progressive groove. Umami also offers his spin, upping the energy with a strong house groove and dominating synth lines in a fine progressive finale for the collection.

Fresh out of the camper is Joep Mencke’s Mataka Ep. After the success with his debut Asiri last year, we have been hooked on Mencke’s sound. With two solid originals and an adventure of a remix by the label bosses unders & Noraj Cue, Mataka delivers.


Tum sounds like you’re on a boat on tranquil water floating into a mysterious world full of wonders. Its dark, yet light. The mist makes you want to doze off but the claps, conga’s and busty breakbeats keep you awake. The horizon is hazy, yet the subtle swing is so clear. A whole new world lies yonder, come out and play, says Tum. More is coming, says Mr. Mencke, just wait for it.


The second production and the EP’s name carrier does not take any shortcuts. Mataka’s groove kicks in straight away. Little joyful bells enlighten the darkness. The moment you think Mataka can’t take you any deeper, Mataka erupts. Heroically it lets you know the battle is won,  Mataka made its mark, it's invincible. In Mataka's remix, the atmospheric pad lets you float through the sky. Dreamy tickling bells are covered by a broad, open, wide sound. It triggers, lifts, it excites. Alice in Wonderland’s clock guides, the inception like dark is put against an angel’s voice kicking in. The voice is like a flower sprouting in spring after a long dark winter. Mataka’s interpretation by label honcho’s unders & Noraj Cue brings depth, it inspires and adds adventure.
