MARCOS IN DUB - Mood 

New on the ever dependable Poker Flat Recordings, a three tracker from Marcos in Dub, the Spanish DJ and producer with a string of exceptional releases to his name.

The Mood EP kicks off with the title track - a firing dancefloor heater, built around a rubbery groove. The track draws atmospheres and textures from trance-infused deep house, perhaps a legacy of the artist’s time as a resident at Madrid’s infamous Goa nights. The synths bubble and boil over into a lysergic trip that will flip minds when heard in the right circumstances.

Joeski’s remix takes the fundamental elements and strips the track down into a tough, minimalistic groover - the synths are a little more restrained, and the percussion gets more of a leading role in driving the track.

'Root' closes out the release, which gets deep into the dubwise sounds one might expect - it’s a thick, deep sound, enhanced by the creative use of reverb and delay, creating space and atmosphere for the groove to work its magic.

It’s always great news when Steve Bug and Langenberg get together in the studio - two legends who remain at the top of their game, locking into each other’s groove and delivering some of the most potent electronic music out there. 
Their latest excursion is a case in point. 'Emphasizer' is a mid-paced groover with thick, rounded kicks, sharp percussion and a rich, deep bass that keeps things rolling along. Sparking synths add the spacy melodic flourish. 
'Thierry Moogler' is a slightly more urgent affair that builds from a slowly evolving synth riff before unfolding into a glorious, chugging house groover with an epically worked drop.
