One of the scene’s most exciting new faces has arrived an artist who has spent the last decade meticulously honing his production skills, refining a signature sound that’s minimal, immaculate, and unmistakably his own. After steadily gaining momentum over the past year, with major support from none other than minimal heavyweight Teej, he’s quickly become a name to watch in Drum & Bass.
We’re absolutely thrilled to welcome another standout artist to the Yamatai family in 2025 someone who truly embodies a style of Drum &* Bass we hold close to our hearts.

Re:growth joins the Yamatai imprint with his highly anticipated debut single ‘Nonanom / Take Me’ a devastating two-tracker that’s already turning heads across some of the world’s most iconic clubs, including Motion, Melkweg, and Grelle Forelle

Since making waves with his breakout ‘Get Close EP’ on Empathy Audio in 2024, Kevin (aka Re:growth) has been on an unstoppable rise. Blending dark, minimal textures with a razor-sharp underground sensibility, he’s delivered standout cuts like ‘Pluka’ and ‘Don’t Talk’, earning him a coveted collaboration with minimal maestro Teej on ‘Juxtapose / Mori’. The buzz hasn’t slowed since, with more projects in the pipeline including more upcoming work on Nyx and whispers of a release on Transparent Audio.

His Yamatai debut marks a significant milestone in this upward journey. Both ‘Nonanom’ and ‘Take Me’ are masterclasses in minimal production tracks that have been rigorously tested across European clubs and radio, gaining widespread acclaim.

From the soaring synths and twisted drum switches of Kumarachi's "For You" to the classical rave feels of Demented Frequency's "Amens On The Nile" via absolute toxic gully from the likes of Galvatron, Didak, Veak, Redline, Epicentre, Sweet N Sikka, Conrad Subs, Martyn Nytram and the bossman DJ Hybrid himself this is a pure steel steal. Nothing short of essential.

Since inception in 2009, Skankandbass has unearthed some of the freshest talents in the scene and has opened many doors for unsigned artists. After our landmark SNB050, we return to our Free Download Series courtesy of Karma.  A former Shogun Audio signee, he made a name for himself with a series of explosive dancefloor tracks, including the heavily supported ‘Terminal’.
