Samosa Funk charged onto the MyHouse Radio airwaves once again on Monday 10th August 2020 with another two hours of spectacular funk, soul, disco, Afro beats and super hot tamales. 

Les Inferno thrills once again with his selections and transitions - each month we're treated to a delve into the crates with lots of originals pulled out. This is a real sunshine set from a guy who absolutely nails the vibe every time. 

De Gama comes in for the second hour, with a set purring with eclectic grooves that build up from where Les Inferno left off. This is something a little different from De Gama - we're going a bit deeper into his musical mind palace where he showcases a good chunk of upcoming releases on Samosa Records and Daje Funk. It compliments the first hour perfectly and shows you just how good an understanding these two masters have.

Well, we are sure getting closer to magic 200 number in terms of episodes. That is a lot of hours of music! The last episode was all about edits to make us feel nostalgic of the 70s and 80s but we are back to the present with EP195 as fantastic underground music is still being made.

This episode is full of promos and soon to be release tracks from such labels as Salted Music and NDYD. Check out our next release by @tommy_glasses 'Another Day' (track 8 in the set). Also solid releases by mr Traxsource himself @djdank13 that I've had on non stop rotation. The sets finishes strong with my friend and sista @lisa-shaw and her new release with Immaculate Styles. The Black Light Disco Feds put out a BOLO for slow, funky, badass tunes for the show on Monday 19th October 2020 on New York's MyHouse Radio. Agents Goz and Esteban answered that call and quickly staked out a downtown, downtempo joint for a visual identification - this is the soundtrack to that stakeout.

For the first hour, Goz keeps the beat profile low and weaves intricate smoke rings - visions of Balearic, ocean-facing sunset cafes at dusk appear through the haze. Esteban takes the stakeout to a place with a Latin American vibe for hour two, checking out the samba and bossa nova rhythms, beats and complimentary bar grooves.

Ricardo Torres, a West Coast DJ, is known for blending deep, soulful house and disco with a smooth, sultry West Coast vibe. His music is crafted for true dance music enthusiasts, delivering uplifting, groovy, and sexy experiences rooted in the underground scene.

Ricardo’s DJ journey began in 1987 at a college radio station in Montreal, Canada, where he initially spun industrial electronic music. By 1988, he was introduced to Chicago House and was captivated by its fresh energy, changing his musical direction. In 1995, he moved to Los Angeles, where the city’s sun-drenched, soulful vibe and influences from DJs like Jay-J, Marques Wyatt, Julius Papp, Mark Farina, and Miguel Migs drew him toward the deeper West Coast sound.

In 2000, Ricardo pioneered sharing his mixes online, a bold and innovative step that garnered him international recognition. This exposure led to global performances and opportunities, while he also became a syndicated radio host on satellite and online platforms.

Around 2016 Ricardo partnered with Germany’s Nu Disco Your Disco (NDYD), a leading advocate for the Nu Disco genre. Their collaboration birthed the NDYD Radio Show, which Ricardo hosts weekly, showcasing top global talent and steadily growing a loyal listener base. For Ricardo, Nu Disco offers a modern bridge for the soulful West Coast vibe to resonate with newer generations.
