Venice Gets DEEP for Thanksgiving - Ricardo Torres live from the DEEP Lounge 11.25.15

During the lockdown some of the residents / friends who live in our building in DTLA would get together at our loft from time to time where I would play music while we just hang . Of course it was a very limited number of people (only the ones that lived in the building) and even if most of us never left the building we all whore masks and kept our social distancing. It was fun to play for a small 'crowd' in the middle of the pandemic and I got to record some of those sessions that we had about every other weekend. Here is one of them where I went back to play down to mid-tempo edits like back in the days. The other sessions I recorded are all different, deep house, tech-house, etc. I will be posting those in the upcoming radio shows. So here is the first one and I hope you will dig it like our neighbors did. They are actually the ones that asked me to post them so they can have a copy of it. I'm glad to do it cause it looks like I might have turned some of them to this style of music. I'm like a drug dealer lol

In Between Soul And House Music

Well, we are sure getting closer to magic 200 number in terms of episodes. That is a lot of hours of music! The last episode was all about edits to make us feel nostalgic of the 70s and 80s but we are back to the present with EP195 as fantastic underground music is still being made.

This episode is full of promos and soon to be release tracks from such labels as Salted Music and NDYD. Check out our next release by @tommy_glasses 'Another Day' (track 8 in the set). The Black Light Disco airing exclusively on MyHouse Radio on Monday 28th September featured our very own Tropical Gangsters Esteban and Goz for the whole two hours, bringing the autumnal funk to the airwaves across New York City and the globe. 
 
This is an all inclusive disco buffet (with domestic beers)with all you can eat grooves and funky mood enhancing joints. Esteban starts things off with a set flowing with new and upcoming releases on our favourite labels, whilst for the second hour Goz shifts the gears into sublime disco (with a subtle pinch of house).

Ricardo Torres, a West Coast DJ, is known for blending deep, soulful house and disco with a smooth, sultry West Coast vibe. His music is crafted for true dance music enthusiasts, delivering uplifting, groovy, and sexy experiences rooted in the underground scene.

Ricardo’s DJ journey began in 1987 at a college radio station in Montreal, Canada, where he initially spun industrial electronic music. By 1988, he was introduced to Chicago House and was captivated by its fresh energy, changing his musical direction.
