First there was the Blue Fairy, then, people, you asked for more, and we made up the Red Fairy, and, when you wanted more still, the White Fairy was put together. The remixes in the compilation are borrowed from many countries, Turkey, Russian Federation, France, Costa Rica, Canada. However much these nations differ about trifles, they all agree in liking fairy tales. The reason, no doubt, is that men were much like children in their minds long ago, long, long ago, and so before they took to writing newspapers, and sermons, and novels, and long poems, they told each other stories, such as you read in the fairy books. They believed that witches could turn people into beasts that could speak, that magic rings could make their owners invisible, and all the other wonders in the stories. Then, as the world became grown-up, the fairy tales which were not written down would have been quite forgotten but that the old grannies remembered them, and told them to the little grandchildren: and when they, in their turn, became grannies, they remembered them, and told them also. So the new SHANGO RECORDS EP is a compilation and includes seven amazing remixes for your personal book of tales.  Songs about love, hate, broken dreams, suffocation and holding hands.

I asked Micha if I could do some sort of remix/interpretation and he luckily sent me the stems of their recordings. I had a lot of stuff to do the last summer, so it took me quite a while to start this remix and get it done. Hope you like it :)

After hitting the stages of numerous clubs and festivals with their impressive live act, electronica duo AFAR deliver the 12th EP of Vienna’s Heimlich Musik – with Oberst & Buchner and Geju on remix duty.

The third duo featured on the EP is Geju from Moscow, delivering the second remix for "Lulled and Fake". Their remix is based on the guitar parts while a playful rhythm is created by blending drum parts from the original mix with their own unique style. As a result, Geju transform the original mix into one of their own creations of recognizable value with the potential to create special moments on the dance floor.

This time all earnings will be used to support poor families in Senegal. While our journeys to Dakar we realised that there is a need to help the disadvantaged families - single mothers with small children. For this reason we founded a local NGO name „Mbolo Moy Dolé“ which means „together we are strong“. The local Managers of this Committee are people we know and trust so we can guarantee that 
the donations won’t be wasted for administration but will be directly used to buy food. It will be brought to this families every month. 

Big thanks goes to the Berlin based producer and live-performer @christianhuelshoff who gave us this incredible production. It's as powerful as his tracks usually are. We are being fans of his music therefore it´s really a great present for us 💖

The remixes in the compilation are borrowed from many countries, Turkey, Russian Federation, France, Costa Rica, Canada. However much these nations differ about trifles, they all agree in liking fairy tales. The reason, no doubt, is that men were much like children in their minds long ago, long, long ago, and so before they took to writing newspapers, and sermons, and novels, and long poems, they told each other stories, such as you read in the fairy books. They believed that witches could turn people into beasts that could speak, that magic rings could make their owners invisible, and all the other wonders in the stories. Then, as the world became grown-up, the fairy tales which were not written down would have been quite forgotten but that the old grannies remembered them, and told them to the little grandchildren: and when they, in their turn, became grannies, they remembered them, and told them also. So the new SHANGO RECORDS EP is a compilation and includes seven amazing remixes for your personal book of tales.  Songs about love, hate, broken dreams, suffocation and holding hands.
