Centuries had passed since the initial arrival of the extraterrestrial sonic emitter on the planet’s surface, and the culture of the beings who inhabited that world had evolved much since the initial encounter. They now composed great musical works of their own, and over time, the alien device had come to lie forgotten, buried beneath the dense jungle floor and still festooned by the decorative textiles that its original inheritors had attached to celebrate its wondrous powers. Here it lay for ages until, in searching for the origins of their ancestors, a group of explorers discovered the idol of the bass cult once more.

The discovery was at first one of bemusement - an obvious hoax played by a rival expedition, perhaps. For so fine a speaker to be discovered so far from modern civilization was an absurd concept. Yet there was something about the craftsmanship, an intricate, spiraling pattern etched into its enclosure that was mirrored in the artworks of the ancient peoples of these lands. Their ancestors could not have crafted such a device, so where then could it have come from? As the leader of the expedition lifted it from the soil, the device rang out with a sonorous & soothing hum, enrapturing all those who stood gathered before their new discovery as it rattled their bodies with low-frequency sound. Thus it was that THE CULT OF BASS was born anew, and the alien artifact’s powers were resurgent once again

MNDSCP delivers the second sampler to his upcoming LP THE CULT OF BASS, transmitting his hypnotizing low frequency sonics to his fervent followers amongst the EATBRAIN horde in anticipation of the full force of the album soon to come.

Darkness had enveloped the room for some time now, and yet still its sole inhabitant gazed warily into the void before him. In the colorless light of the night, its character mimicked that of his own mind, filled with anxieties, obsessions, & guilt. The moonlight shone softly through his window, illuminating a pile of unread books at his bedside. He hadn’t studied nearly as much as he should have today. Outside, he could hear passing cars on the street below. No doubt, their drivers were people more industrious than he, working late to improve their lives. Across the room, the fans on his computer hummed gently. Had he really lost a whole day to that machine again?

With each unfortunate waking moment, both room and world seemed to enclose on him. Life was beginning to pass him by. The clock in the hall ticked onwards. He wasn’t making enough money. From a family portrait on the wall, his mother’s eyes stared into his soul. He simply couldn’t fall asleep. The bed rejected him physically, each of the springs in his worn-down mattress pressing uncomfortably into his spine. Dejectedly, the man sat up and stared into the distant dark. INSOMNIA had reared its ugly head once more.

ZIGI SC makes his EATBRAIN debut with INSOMNIA, a three-track EP that follows his previous appearance on the label’s DIVERGENCE V compilation via a collaboration with A-Cray. On INSOMNIA, the Czech producer delivers three tracks sure to energize the label’s horde and keep them dancing wakefully well into the early hours of the morning.

In the Freedom EP, Blinded Theory together with NERV3 and 9THWAVE explore a kind of freedom that doesn’t always lead toward the light. Here, it’s the moment when the cage inside bursts open and the long-hidden beasts and shadows break free. Each track is a step down a narrow corridor where the walls vibrate under the pressure of the bass, and the rhythm tears through space like claws against steel.

This freedom doesn’t sound like a promise of peace, but like the instant you stop fearing your own monsters and let them speak for you. Melodies intertwine with dense percussion, building a pressure that grows until inner chaos transforms into an energy powerful enough to destroy everything around it.

Blinded Theory, 9THWAVE - Freedom

In the underground archive, the hum lingered long before the system was switched on. A thin metallic body, assembled from geometry and formulas, lay in waiting. In the silence, one could hear drops of condensation and the faint whisper of fans.

When Paranoiac Del activated the circuit, the space was cut by a bass — low, viscous, as if rising from the earth itself. The structure shuddered, the joints of rhythm unlocked, and cold sensors flared with red light. Yet instead of predictable order, a strange unease emerged: pauses stretched longer than they should, and each hit sounded like the footsteps of an unseen observer.

Thus “Minimalistic” came alive — not an instrument, but a being, assembled from silence and precise fractions. It breathes slowly, studies the space, and seems to look at you through its own sound.

DEEPNAS — where the depth of rhythm borders on paranoia, and every composition becomes a signal from the dark zone in which you are no longer alone.
