After a summer-long hiatus we are back and while our tans are slowly fading out and we’re settling into another awkward autumn sponsored by SARS-CoV-2, we’re giving our Deeport’s mix series a new push-start!

And helping us with the push, we have Pančevo's own, Aleksandra Hrib. Aleksandra’s selections immediately caught our ear when we heard her a while ago helming her own radio show “Mercurial Notes” on radio D59b, whose following and recognition grew as quickly as she jumped into the whole DJ-ing business, from a lifelong passion of enjoying and collecting music for her own pleasure. This half Slovak cat-loving introvert of fluid and charming taste, needed a bit of a nudge from her friends to take her passion public, and we’re very glad they did.

Deeport MIX037 - Guest Mix By Aleksandra Hrib

This smooth, melty, salty and sun-kissed balearic goodness of a mix couldn't have come at a better time. Nostalgia for those warm and careless summer nights sets in perfectly in cold holiday season with these selections brought to you by our dear friend Soul Case; the man behind Amok Radio and lovely Oubli collective. Putting his quirky alias in context, Bojan Janev of Skopje, encases his wonderful soul; one that chose music as its creative outlet of expression and influence. As eclectic as they come, as a DJ he always digs deep to find the most suitable records for the occasion. You can find him blasting high energy italo, chuggy disco or even trancey vibes on the floor, as well as somewhere poolside - serving sophisticated downtempo dishes. 

Him and his buddies from abovementioned organisations are doing a great job rejuvenating and enriching the rather dull and stagnant underground scene that Skopje and many other ex-Yu cities are doomed with. When visions of people align, they click easily, regardless of age, geography or any other determining factor; and this happened with us and Bojan and his crew when we invited them to Montenegro this summer. In his own words, this mixtape is directly influenced by his stay at our sandy shores. It sure takes us back!

Deeport MIX039 - Guest Mix By Soul Case (Amok, Oubli / Skopje)

Here's another one from a dear friend. Integral part of brotherly collective Beyond House of Belgrade - Ognjen Milosavljević who, in the world of music goes by Ognjem, is a true lover of music, collector and as a DJ - as eclectic as they come. He loves rocking the sweaty dancefloors hard as much as he likes melting off the audiences at sophisticated pool parties. He also hosts a new party series aptly named "Love In Motion".

For this mixtape, he dwells into some of his favourite balearic infused but cosmically charged favourites, to round up an hour and half of excellent selection suitable for your daily consumption, whatever the occasion.

Deeport MIX040 - Guest Mix By Ognjem (Beyond House / Belgrade)

Missing a disk in his spine when he was born sent him naturally on a quest ! Since then he's been digging hard to find records for the love of music. Organizing his first underground rave party in 1992, he's been promoting and playing at parties all around the globe, playing at some very exclusive spots in Paris and London like the Murano and Kube hotels, la Terrassa, Follow The White Rabbit in Paris and Hakkasan, Sketch, Trapeze in London. He's been lucky to rock Cannes movie festival, Calvi on the Rocks and Horizon festival in Bulgaria. He’s now back in France around Bordeaux, playing for the Iboat and you can find him every week at Sous la Robe in Saint Émilion or on the beach during the summer at La Cabane de Lespecier, . His music is groovy, funky, colourful and uplifting.

End-of-summer nostalgia slowly sets in, but after a brief hiatus, we're back! Not with a bang, but with a gentle caress.  A mixtape so smooth you'll have trouble keeping your clothes on for the duration. 

Our buddy, Skopje's Andrej Micajkov is one busy fella; whether it's organising and throwing the dopest parties for over a decade, heading his own BRAN record label, hosting numerous radio shows and project or just playing some damn fine music wherever he goes; he's pushing forward the dance music culture in the truest sense; Macedonia and Beyond.

For this occasion, he mellows out the series and drips it slowly with seductive soul woven melters, so get comfortable and enjoy the ride.

Nathan Gregory Wilkins and Richard X aka Cowboy Rhythmbox have created their own lane within house and techno. The latest signing to Phantasy Sound (who have released music from the likes of Erol Alkan, Daniel Avery and Conan Mockasin to name a few) make deep, arpeggiated, trance inducing beats that we cant get enough of. They really caught our attention with their single Shake and with the release of their latest We Got The Box EP, Nathan (who also produces show music for Marc By Marc Jacobs, Giles and Sibling amongst others) has mixed a selection of music that has inspired the singular Cowboy Rhythmbox sound. A sound they describe as drawing on a collective love of outsider house, bargain bin cut-outs, hard drive debris, rudimentary jack trax, obscure TV themes, Euro disco, EBM, Detroit Techno, the Smith & Wesson Model 3 and horses.
