Catalyst 030 - 8Souls

I am thrilled to finally present Breathe in the Stars to the world. This marks the first piece I’ve ever had mastered professionally, a milestone reached in September 2022. Collaborating with my close friend and phenomenal artist, Jameel Farruk, on this piece was both an immense pleasure and a great honor.

Releasing this creation into the world has been a contemplation for a year. Fellow artists will understand this sentiment. The thought of reopening the project file to implement the skills I’ve acquired over the past year crossed my mind multiple times. However, this track was the epitome of my capabilities at that moment, and I wish to respect and honor that. Furthermore, I aim to set a precedent about sharing one’s creations, embracing their imperfections, and understanding that ‘perfection’ is a relative term.

Breathe in the Stars (feat. Jameel Farruk)

Burning Man was nothing like I wanted it to be. All facts pointing it wasn’t my time to be there. No luck with tickets, close friends who would usually push me giving up, expensive and long flights.. etc. 
Facts aside, came to me an inner-voice so powerful I couldn’t help but to listen to it, and by August I finally started to plan. Less than a month to go, no tickets, no camp or tent or RV.. By that time it was also way too late to join most of the line-ups. I started to act as everything was set and done anyways: got my flights, spread the word, and slowly the stars started to align.

When at the “Burning Man that I wanted”, I didn’t see the friends I planned to see, I didn’t play the places I thought I could, I didn’t catch most of the events I wanted to. I just had the Burning Man that I needed, and it was a wild and freaking dusty one!!! Played only a few and special sets, had more time to explore amazing art, meet new beings, tighten up old friendships or get lost in the dust!

We were all there for a reason. In the immediate sense to see the “burning of the man”: a symbol of structure and government and judgment. And when the fire show started, all I could hear was exclamations of anger and pure wonder. In a grander sense, however, we were all there to expand our views, bodies, minds, and spirits, exploding like the flames in front of us into a rebirth!

What I gained from this experience was a greater understanding of the power of the collective, and that things happen exactly how they are supposed to. To trust the process and work together. Everyone in that desert did their part to build the city, to provide an experience for each soul that passed by. In this moment of fire and destruction, we used our power as one to build an energy field filled with creativity, love, and compassion.

XYZ Selectors 085 - Gadi Mitrani

Here is my set from the Magic Mountain location overlooking the central American  jungle at Reactor Venao Festival. I’ve been watching this festival for a while so to finally play there was a dream! It’s a truly magical place on the beaches of the Panama coastline. I had a prepared a quite energetic set but as it was one of the last days of the festival people came out LATE. For this reason, I changed things around the the first half of the set is more chilled. I hope you can imagine looking at the stars through the Panamanian jungle when you here the set!
