Born and raised in the southern hemisphere, Monika found her love for music in her hometown of Sydney. Monika is an artist who constantly raises her head above the barrier. This radio host, producer and DJ built her grounding in Sydney before immersing herself in Europe’s well nurtured house and techno scene. Monika embraced the allure of the smaller clubbing culture in Australia, which led to her first gig in 2005. With great feedback the path paved its way to her days as a host on FBI radio in 2006. With new guests and keen listeners week-in-week-out Monika was finding her feet and becoming fast recognised as a serious DJ.
The dance floor hasn’t been the only outlet for Monika: working as a sound mixer for the BBC London as well as releasing with labels such as Serialism, Metroline Limited, Entity London, Organic Art Movement and FA>IE make up Monika’s accomplished musical background. Her ability to stimulate a crowd, push the boundaries and her enviable record collection make Miss Ross a much sought­after artist. Definitely one to watch for 2017.

Ruby is arguably the most renowned DJ in Malta and a pioneer with over 20 years of experience in which he had countless of achievements. Although his impressive résumé is nearly infinite, you can summarize him into one word, legend!

A 15 year successful radio show that pioneered the dance music scene in Malta and which is now aired on the world’s leading streaming network DI.FM, playing regularly alongside the planet’s top DJs, opening for legendary acts such as The Prodigy, Faithless, Fatboy Slim, Sasha, John Digweed, Paul Van Dyk, Tiesto, Armin Van Buuren & Paul Oakenfold to name a few, owner of one of Malta’s leading dance music events organizations; Pure Promotions, frequent media coverage such as on DJ magazine and MTV, awards galore, live performances and outstanding DJ sets and also visual showcases with his Audio Visual Perception show. There is simply nothing in the dance music industry that Ruby has seen and hasn’t been experienced and conquered.

Apart from regular international gigs, and guest appearances all over Malta, Ruby is also resident at the island’s biggest outdoor summer venue, the internationally acclaimed, ‘Café Del Mar Malta’ and also at the country’s best underground venue ‘Clique’.

DJ Ruby is a recording artist that owns a vast discography list supported by the world’s top dance music players! Most of his releases are out on Netherlands based label Fektive, which vary from underground releases, Beatport chart topping hits & many remixes.

Gabriel just released a ‘Selected Remixes’ on Feb 24th on his own label ‘Soulful Techno Records’
This is a 1 hour vinyl mix out of those tracks.


Gabriel Ananda was captivated by the sound of Classical music by the early age of 8. He was encouraged by his family to practice the cello, but it was through playing the guitar that fueled his motivation to continue to learn about music. The guitar became a useful tool to express his creativity, but Gabriel was not finished searching for his musical direction. In 1995 that changed. A DJ set by Sven Väth was the pivotal moment that ended Gabriel’s search to find his passion and two years later, the new producer celebrated his first release for the German label Hörspielmusik. He went on to release singles on Treibstoff, Trapez, Platzhirsch, and Karmarouge before producing what was for him, a life changing track.
His 2004 release of “Süssholz” went straight to the top of the German DJ charts, landing in the playlists of any well-known DJ. It was followed by another “hit” in 2005 titled “Ihre persönliche Glücksmelodie”, and then “Doppelwhipper”, which topped the end of year charts in 2006 and placed Gabriel in the eyes and ears of an international audience, and quickly became one of the main contributors to the growing Techno scene of Cologne. He began playing for the most prestigious events on an international level, as a DJ, and a live act, using not only his own productions, but also self-made MIDI controllers, showing his passion for all aspects of music, and the performance.
In 2008, Gabriel founded his own label, Basmati, as a place where he can release his own productions with complete artistic freedom, and by the end of 2011 Basmati celebrated its nine releases, eight of those from Gabriel himself. One of the most notable being the Live Series, which brings the energy of his live sets to the DJ, and includes the worldwide chart topper, “Hey Blop”.

All the way from Germany, we have the melodic duo of Daniel Päßler & Ricardo Linke which have combined roots way back to 1995. Their early day productions could be all from trip hop, electronica, breaks to techno. However, in 1999 the two of them went separate ways for reasons of diverging careers, but got back together by coinsidence in 2003. After a few sessions in their domestic living room studios they decided to make more of their hobby and, thus, started renting their first studio in 2005.
Microtrauma was born.
2007 was the year Microtrauma kicked off. They had their first release “Wake up“ on the Elected Tunes label with their first own release “Collar EP” soon to follow.
They are now highly know and recognised producers, with a serious amount of EP's in their bag. Their style is something special, a different touch, melodic, dark, technoid and minimal as they say themselves.

With summer residencies under his cap in countries like Italy, Spain and Morocco. Also regular visits to play in Bali, Singapore, Thailand and The Philippines, Shane has been greatly influenced as a DJ by this variety of places and people.
Back at home the more underground vibe is where you’ll see him at his happiest, hosting his own private parties. Always in amazing locations, these parties have a growing cult following for the music and the freedom, that can only be experienced out in the open air.

Deep Seahorse Podcast presents: Steve Marx!

Sydney's Steve Marx has been a regular fixture on the London club scene for over a decade now after making the move from his hometown in 1996. A regular on the Sydney scene, Steve could be found at the infamous Hordern Pavillion parties in the late eighties and early nineties where he developed his interest and passion for electronic music by leading the charge at clubs such as Base and The Front. Having made the move to London, he quickly discovered a taste for nights like Malibu Stacy, Tyrant & Renaissance and soon got himself in amongst the smaller nights where an exciting underground scene was developing alongside the rise of the superclub. 

In 1999 he met Ben Clarke and Francis Mallinson and the Synchronize parties were born. I first met him in 2002, where he could be often be found in Plastic Fantastic Records or at Digression in Soho, where up and coming DJs mixed with other arty types sharing a beer and common musical ideas.

Maybe it was that year that made the man and alongside Nick Dawes, he co-organised the Shadow 001 event at the Fortress Studios for World DJ day, playing alongside Rowan Blades, Paolo Mojo and Jonathan Lisle in an event where proceeds went to The Nordoff Robbins Children’s Charity.
Guest slots at Renaissance @The Ministry of Sound, and many of London’s smaller cooler underground nights began coming as well monthly gigs in Amsterdam, Zurich and further afield across Europe became the norm, playing alongside Sasha, Nick Warren & to name but a few.

Often specialising in the closing set, Steve knows how to work a room, through skillful programming, expert track selection and above all tight mixing and is always an entertainer, both behind the decks and on the dancefloor.
Fast forward to 2016 and Steve after a musically hiatus is now firmly planted in his hometown and birthplace Sydney. With music on his mind, Steve is on the rise again, supporting John Digweed for T-1000 events earlier in the year and most recently the birth of Jigsaw with musical aficionado’s and partners Eddy Wells, Neil Smith and Kate Bailey through Jigsaw will bring something very special to Sydney’s nightlife. 

2017 has been nothing short amazing for Steve. January started out with him warming up for the might Hernan Cattaneo @ the official Electric Gardens afterparty as well as with Guy j, Guy Mantzur & Eelke Kliejn, so much so that an impromptu b2b took place with Eelke on that very evening, something for the musical CV some would say. As the summer season kicked in for 2018/2018 off Steve made his debut at the infamous Return to Rio.

Steve has now firmly placed himself as a regular on the Sydney circuit with performances at Electric Gardens in 2018 and then on warm up duties for the legendary Maestro Hernan Cattaneo, his second year in a row @The Rio Revel.  You’ll certainly being seeing more of this loveable Australian, that much is assured.

His passion for electronic music developed in the UK and he has now been playing in Australia for five years following his dream. He been spinning at some of the biggest Party's in Sydney alongside some of he biggest international and local line ups & also running his own party's in Sydney under the name Sutra, bringing his own twist to the scene.
