Esigia has been years in the making, and we believe the outcome justifies the wait.

Back in the start of 2016 the trio made quite a ruckus, bringing a new sound out of Africa, to the global scene. A raw Afro beat, mixed with synths and Ghanaian vocals.

On 'Esigia,' Djuma Soundsystem envisioned blending the distinct sounds of the Ghanaian kologo, a home made two string instrument, with classic Chicago house. He invited one of Ghana's foremost kologo talents, King Ayisoba, and his band for a jam, and the result was vocal calls and responses that effortlessly intertwine with deep house synth lines and King's kologo, bridging organic percussion with electronic manipulation.

The remix pack is second to none, kicking off with Swiss maestro Kellerkind's smooth deep approach, adding his own signature groove. Kintar transports the track to another realm, introducing playful pianos and guitars to dance atop of a deep beat, taking all listeners on a surprising turn in a jazzy break. Finally, we introduce our in-house talent Ruskar, Brazil's youngest Afro house sensation, with his distinctive sound that never fails to ignite the dancefloor.

French DJ, producer, and Diversions Music co-founder OXIA now returns to his label for his first multi-track release of the year with the ‘Runway’ EP. 

OXIA’s ‘Runway’ EP marks a continued run of fine studio form for the established Grenoble-based artist, whose carefully curated catalogue of productions has earned him a reputation as a very respected artist on the international electronic music circuit. 

Kickstarting the EP in style, we’re treated to the emphatic opener, ‘Run.’ Harnessed by a unique sonic artistry, the track is a testament to OXIA’s exceptional talent and unbridled creativity in the studio. From his soul-stirring melodies to his infectious rhythms, OXIA captivates the listener with his use of emotional depth and showcases an unwavering dedication to his craft.

On the flip is the vibrant closer ‘Good Way’; a spellbinding slice of melodic house music that represents some of the label’s most refined output to date. Intoxicatingly fluid, OXIA’s impressive musicality shines front and centre, together with his penchant for deep, melodic soundscapes. PAULUM Records is proud to unveil a new milestone: our very first compilation series, a curated showcase of 12 artists from 7 different countries. Carefully assembled and split into three volumes, this collection highlights a diverse range of sounds while giving each track and artist the space and attention they deserve.

PAULUM011 VOL. 1 launches the series on July 24, featuring four outstanding producers who each bring their own voice to the label.

Returning to Paulum is Linus Duewer, the Hamburg-based artist who made his debut on PAULUM009. With his distinctive, groove-driven approach, Linus continues to define the label’s identity through subtlety and depth.

Also returning is Annina, a Finish artist whose remix on a previous Paulum release already hinted at her unique sensitivity and sonic precision. Her contribution here reaffirms her place as a rising voice in the scene.

Electronic Elephant, based in Berlin and a member of the Bladehouse family, brings a raw yet elegant touch to the compilation. With a strong connection to underground culture and a deep understanding of minimal aesthetics, his track adds both warmth and character.

Rounding off VOL. 1 is Robert Ostan, a respected producer from Romania making his Paulum debut. Known for his exceptional releases in the Ro-minimal space, Robert brings a refined, timeless quality to this collection.

This compilation series embodies the spirit of Paulum Records: international yet personal, forward-thinking yet rooted in timeless sound. Each volume invites you to dive deeper into the label’s evolving narrative.
