As one of the founding members of Fog City Pack, resident of San Francisco's monthly disco party DAD, and newest resident of one of SF’s longest running fetish nights, Stank, Joe Weidman (a.k.a. Jumpr) has spent the last several years striving to create unique, inclusive, exciting experiences for the SF queer and leather communities not just as a DJ but also as the Creative Director of Fog City Pack. He prides himself on being a dance floor filler, agnostic of genre, spinning everything from sweaty bathhouse disco to throbbing techno bangers. Jumpr wants to bring the rush and keep the energy ecstatic.

This mix is downright chunky-thick with it's build of heavy bass intertwined with 80's new wave selections. It lands as well crafted with basslines nicely pairing between tracks-a moment to breathe before the next chapter of seedy, bouncing rhythm. The reflection of community support Jumpr provides is evident with this sound- while not easily defined in sound per-say, it's certainly felt through every layer of latex, leather, and mesh from listeners.

"This mix is a live recording from a recent visit to Podlasie in Chicago. When I gig, I think less about how I’m supposed to sound and focus on recalling, reconnecting with, and sharing music I love. As such there’s a ton of old favorites in the mix that span eras, genres, and moods. It is a capture of old favorites meeting new favorites. This ambassadorial practice of compiling new and old is a symbolic act of finding a sense of familiarity within unfamiliarity. It creates a level of genuineness that is vital for world building and sonic transportation while being resistant to consumption, possession, and escape. It highlights how one can encounter a new world without leaving this planet. Worlds are made of context and exchange; planets are made of matter, gas, and gravity."

ExHouse aka Experimental Housewife is a Bay Area-based DJ and live performer of 25 years. Over the last 10 years, she has become an icon of deep commitment to electronic sound and the art of storytelling. Deemed a "pillar of the underground" by RA, ExHouse started out as a teen raver, obsessed with the sound and attitude of the electronica of the 90s, before being drawn to ambient and post-rock in the early 00s, from which she takes much technical and aesthetic influence. Today she brings diverse cataloging and fluid turntable savvy to the dance floor, causing holes to appear in people's shoes while making "it look so easy". With an ear for contemplative bangers, deep grooves, and heavy drone, ExHouse has released original dance and ambient works on Jacktone, Schmer, True Indigo, Identity Spectrum Records and more. She owns and operates Perfect Location Records, a highly curated cross-medial label geared toward the greater distribution of honest and independent electronic music. She has toured North America and Europe and participates in a number of underground-forward outlets.

“You’re exhausted at the end of a long week and stumble into your local video rental store hoping to find something to watch on a Friday night. You’re poking around the Science Fiction section when you nearly trip over a box of old VHS tapes sitting in the middle of the aisle. Intrigued, you decide to dig through it. Before long you pull out a fairly nondescript tape with no photos or credits on it, but that’s simply titled DISTANT SIGNALS. The clerk behind the checkout counter doesn’t recall getting this particular title in, so she tells you you can just take it. Now your interest is really piqued.

You rush home and immediately pop the tape into your VCR. The film appears to be the document of some far away civilization. You see the beautiful homeworld of an alien species, their vibrant landscapes and bustling cities. Although you don’t understand their language, you’re still somehow able to comprehend the history that is being conveyed to you. You learn that over time the natural resources of their once beautiful planet were depleted and their citizens were forced to live underground before eventually fleeing into space. They have since settled in many worlds among many galaxies, living in secret in the hope that someday they can return to their homeworld. Although their story can be sad, they also speak of the beauty of the universe, of space travel, of the resilience of their people, of the many stars and planets they have seen, and how all beings across the cosmos are connected as one.

A good friend of mine once told me, “Funk music is getting over the blues.”
The word and that phrase capture the sensory input, emotional output, and historical weight that come with a great House set. When the clubs in NYC opened back up in 2021, most of us turned completely feral. Interestingly, the DJs came back first, live music took a little bit to percolate.
After my plucking along as a guitar player with a Afro-Caribbean Funk band in live venues for years I had tasted the dancefloor, but yearned for folks who lived it. Once my group fell apart, I was lost. House music brought me home. I found a community that shared my passion for movement, obsession with 4 to floor, and that love for being drenched in sweat in a crowd of tons of people. Coming to the club was almost like entering a neon chrysalis and exiting as a saucy butterfly.
House music is a sanctuary for the freaks.
House was built with african diasporic sounds spun by queer, black, & latinx djs; it was born in Detroit/Chicago/NYC bathhouses, sweaty industrial spaces and packed loft parties. Spanning organ heaters, Hard House, Disco Screamers, Dirty Acid, Ghetto-tech/Booty House sounds, I wanted to make a mix that’d encapsulate the spirit of a lot of those foundational places and spaces while celebrating the wide range of house flavors - specifically keyed in on Houses’ 90s heyday .

**THE STORY**

At the dawn of the 19th century, a shadow is cast upon the Scottish shores of Loch Sìne. 

Childhood companions Isla and Struan, bound by the sea and an unspoken promise, are torn from each other's lives. Pressured by duty, Struan joins the British Navy, leaving Isla with a precious gift and a vow to return. But the years apart bring many changes - both at home and at sea.

As Struan is set to return, a rot has taken hold in the village. The men have grown weak, their traditions abandoned, and their leaders corrupted. From across the waves, Isla, gifted with second sight, witnesses a horrifying vision: an unholy force attacking Struan's fleet.

Her warnings to the men of the village are ignored. Despite a storm, Isla takes to her boat in a desperate search for Struan, who she senses is fighting a losing battle.
Now, as the demonic tide finally crashes ashore, their childhood promise becomes an epic quest. 

Confronting the darkness, is the light they hold enough to pull the world back from the brink?
