From the UK, South Africa, France and Australia, Inner Shift Music presents their Collective Continents II release, with Mark Hand, Platform 001, G-Prod and Leo Gunn. The Ep starts with Take Some Chances which has Jazz influenced pads, chords and changes with an addictive hook, by Mark Hand who has recent releases on Soul Print and Apollo. Next comes The Last Letter by newcomer Platform 001 - a deep house track with some funk style house chords and an inspiring spoken word poem, which holds the listener's attention throughout.

On the B side we have the Gaugain brothers G-Prod (who have releases on R&S and Nightflight), with their track Horizon which has a more techy feel with its moody pads, melodic lead and subtle but driving bassline.AAThe EP is complete with a whole other level of head-nodding deepness and warmth, with Aheeoo which you would come to expect from Leo Gunn, who is noted for his multiple appearances on Deep Explorer. 

Deep, jazzy, techy, warm and diverse, this EP is everything there is to love about deep house.

F*CLR Records are truly delighted to be releasing Kameelah Waheed’s extraordinary ‘America The Beautiful’ Bruise Remix EP – one half of a two label release - the other jazzier half on Ramrock Red.

Production collective of the moment, Bruise, have been enjoying the limelight and quite rightly so, with their ‘Grand Hi’ earmarked by the Guardian, and sync’d by Grand Theft Auto, the Lady Blackbird remix and most recently, ‘Joy’. Christian Campbell works his magic again on both vocal and instrumental, taking the title track to a whole other level of euphoric and joyous orchestral house. It’s both dark and uplifting with those shades of D Town techno with soul we’ve all come to love from Bruise.

On ‘America the Beautiful’ Kameelah delivers powerful spoken word lyrics, pledging allegiance to the people of America - to the dreamers, the lovers, the thinkers, and the risk takers. At the same time, Kameelah questions how many rights will America change and how many souls will America break. She skilfully delivers her conscious narrative alongside a rolling house beat. Loaded with talent, the poetry is written by the hand and from the heart of Kameelah who also produces the track with Kelly Murray, her partner in Ke’Wah Productions.

New Jersey based hip hop artist, Kameelah grew up with music all around, with world beats, island and tribal vibes coming from inside her Islamic home - MTV meshed with rap blasting from every Philly + NJ radio station, while house parties were playing four to the floor and electronica. Her musical denial was the catalyst for her explosion into sound and later her versatility as an artist, producer, writer and performer who has worked within a myriad of styles from neo soul to hip hop, to house, releasing previously on BBE, Rapster Records, and Philly Through My Ear. In 2020 she dropped her highly respectable, ‘Holding On’ on Ramrock Records.

F*CLR Records are so happy to be finally releasing The Sweet Fantastic’s brilliant ‘Hypnotisin (Get Down)’ as F*CLR’s first fresh release of 2022 – a beautifully reinterpretated version of Raw Silk’s ‘Do it to the music’. It’s been an incredibly long and winding road for Mancunian/qualified architect/DJ/producer/remixer and extremely patient co-founder of ‘The Sweet Fantastic’, Andrew Sant who now resides in Adelaide, Australia. Undeterred by a two year delay due to an initial knock back on a sample request from Raw Silk’s record company, the onset of COVID lockdowns and studio closures, Andrew persevered and after recruiting the fabulous talents of vocalist Lesley
Williams to reimagine the vocals, he revised his original 2019 track from scratch on his dining room table along with musical colleague, Troy J Bean. They took inspiration from the original track but
added their ‘Sweet Fantastic’ spin to the ‘Do It’ vibes. The North Street West crew lent their production talents to the remix and Ashley Beedle, Darren Morris and Jo Wallace pooled their collective disco chops to add nu-house sensibilities to the already excellent original.

Previous releases from Andrew have included ‘Ya feel’ (3 AM Recordings), Out of Kontrol (Tri-Circle), Inbetween Dreams (Tarantic), Escapism (Kolour) and The Beat Conductor (Open Bar) with remixes for Neo on their track ‘Trulybe’ (Tri-Circle) and DJ Meme’s ‘Chanson du Soleil’ (Playmore). His DJ career has taken him around the globe from Sankeys Soap + the Warehouse Project Warm Up Party, Manchester, The Bomb, Nottingham, Miss Moneypenny’s @ BoHo, Ibiza and as a guest presenter on Stamford University Radio, San Francisco, California. Drawing on influences from the likes of Ashley Beedle, Frankie Knuckles, Jimpster, Masters at Work and Kerri Chandler to name but a few, The Sweet Fantastic are already working on several follow ups to ‘Hypnotisin’.

‘Hypnotisin (Get Down)’ by The Sweet Fantastic debuted on Gilles Peterson’s Worldwide FM in November 2021 on Ashley Beedle’s ‘Heavy Disco Spectacular’ radio show getting plenty of enquiries and now F*CLR Records can’t wait for your reactions to this evocative dancefloor filler!
