Selville Records fills its second trimester with ‘Emet’ by RoneeDeep, a bumping EP that winds up the label’s roster of classic releases.

Born in Giyani, Limpopo, grew up in Soweto, and is now based in Sebokeng, RoneeDeep has made his mark as a producer and sound engineer with a string of standout releases on Atjazz Records and Do It Now Recordings, showcasing his harmonically-melodic grooves.

Ronee stamps his soulful signature across four tracks, showcasing the musical diversity and influences of his sound. On ‘Emet’, he features the maestro himself, Hypaphonik, and JVSON on vocals, moving from fast to slow tempos with a touch of old-school nostalgic deep house, delivering a satisfyingly moody resonance amidst the dancefloor functionality.

Faunipulate ~ I designed this track with controlled chaos in mind, the name is a representation of how us beings have manipulated the fauna around us, the respect of the environment is always priority.

Every sound is a modular approach to sound design, using some awesome M4L devices to map the parameters at random but keeping a controlled rhythm, sitting at 120BPM we're just chilling to the dub soundscapes.
