Finest Wear is a producer and DJ hailing from London. Since beginning his journey in the Oxfordshire party scene in the 90s, he has had a few monikers, played many a room throughout the UK and Europe, and released records on a myriad labels. His latest is the Good Times EP, out now on Seren Dipity. He celebrates with an hour of deep dancefloor sounds.

Dear Doodlers,

I’m really chuffed to have been asked to share some music with you all.  So .. . .a little bit about me.

I’m an aging raver (aren’t we all) who moved to Manchester from Yorkshire in 1992 and started DJ’ing shortly afterwards. 
Whilst mainly a ‘bedroom’ DJ, I had the pleasure of DJing at old haunts such as Generation X, Iso Bar and Sankey’s.  However, a claim to fame would be playing downstairs at the Hacienda one Friday after my mate the resident DJ left me in charge for a ‘few minutes’ and became temporarily incapacitated!

Life moved on as it does, but I never sold my decks or records and kept collecting vinyl along the way.   About 15 years ago I found my way back into djing when I joined a popular oldskool forum and hosted a weekly radio show.  This led to getting offered gigs as far afield as Cornwall with the likes of DIY, Inland Knights and I even played with Acid House legend DJ Pierre in an oriental restaurant in Manchester.

Whilst still a lover and collector of vinyl, I took the digital plunge a few years back and since then have played for Sticky Heat, Club Solo and this summer was asked to play at the amazing Beat-Herder Festival.  There is more in the pipeline for 2023, so hopefully see you at a gig soon.

My style. . . .H’mmm. . . .House that has a good soulful edge, a great baseline and slice of old school is never too far away! 
Whilst this mix is starts in 1989 (RIP Manuel Göttsching) it is very much rooted in 2022 and I hope you enjoy!
